This is a charming and unusual little Simon Halbig 886 barefoot mulatto mignonette. She is absolutely precious with her brown skin, sweet bare feet, and lovely face. She has no damage or chipping to her bisque. Guaranteed There is wear to the finish here and there, and her stringing is a bit loose, especially the head. However, she will still stand freely or sit on her own. The stringing is not original, but older. She is incised 886 on the back of the head as shown. She stands 5 1/2 inches tall and has a beautifully painted little face with open lips, perfect tiny teeth, and long eyelashes. Her deep brown eyes have been set. She has no chipping to her little hands or feet. She wears a lovely brown mohair wig with a tiny cardboard pate. Her beautiful antique dress is handmade and fits her perfectly. The silk sleeves have disintegrated somewhat and have been mended. She has a little antique slip under her dress. Her outfit is completed with a gorgeous little original antique silk hat with pleated brim and a feather. A sweet and hard to find addition to your collection!
