1880 German Dornheim Parian Doll With Flowers in Her Hair 17. For sale is this antique German parian doll with fancy applied Flowers to her hair circa 1880. She is 17 and was made by the Dornheim, Koch &Fischer, Porcelain Factory, Grafenroda/Thuringia. She is not marked, but they were the only factory working at that time that did this elaborate porcelain flower detail. This is really beautiful example of a high-end Parian doll. She appears to have all of her original clothing, including a fine silk blouse with tucking detail, a printed cotton skirt, pantaloons, several lace edged petticoats, a corset cover, stockings, and original red leather lace up shoes. Her clothing is in extremely good condition. The only exception is that there is some separation to the very thin silk blouse. Her head/shoulders are unglazed bisque and is in excellent condition with no cracks or damage. Her body is fabric and her hands are leather. The elaborate gold edged flower detail is exquisite, and in very good condition with a little petal/leaf edge loss as to be expected (see photos). Her face is beautifully painted, and the hair is elaborately molded. A fine example of a 19th Century Dornheim Parian doll. Thank you so much for looking!
