My usual basic description with all the needed details, none of the flowery sales pitch stuff. HEAD : Her head is marked “1235 Germany” just under the leather. 4 1/2 is at the rim, and “Made in” is visible just above the leather. She has original set brown eyes, open mouth with 4 teeth. Ears are not pierced. She has been back lit, no cracks visible. The body is in good condition. It is original to the head. It has the usual age related scuffing. Seams are not leaking. It has a lot of patches as shown in pictures. Both feet, both knees, both hips, crease between left buttock and leg. Her left arm is perfect. The right hand has a chip on the tip of the 2nd finger. There appears to be a glue repair of right underarm and it clearly is missing some sawdust. There is a stitch & glue repair at the right elbow. CLOTHING: She is wearing antique cotton knit socks and oilcloth shoes. The heel is missing from one of them. The slip is old, not sure if it is an actual antique. Her panties are definitely antique. The drop waist dress is also antique. It is a thin cotton with darker pin stripes. It appears hand made. Seams are finished except for skirt/bodice one. It has an embroidered lace yoke. It closes with hook and eyes. There is a faint stain on the back of the skirt. The fabric is starting to fray in a couple of places: under right side of yoke ruffle, right side of bodice just above skirt, and the seam between bodice and skirt in the back. These do not affect the structural integrity of the dress. I have added a ring of antique silk flowers as a hat. Please ask for more pictures if needed. Can’t show everything! I recycle everything I can so your package may not look pretty but it will be safe. Packing may include washed plastic food containers, milk cartons, egg cartons, plastic bags, etc. Usually the head is in bubble wrap. These materials are light weight, take up a lot of space in the box, and is environmentally nicer than purchasing new stuff.
