I hate the flowery hyperbole that often is in these auctions. Therefore, just a simple description. Germany (hidden under the leather). The head has been back lit. There are no cracks. She has functional antique blue sleep eyes that I think are original to the doll. She has an open mouth, 4 teeth. Her ears are not pierced. She has a pate and a modern made blonde human hair wig. It is full thick. She has curly bangs. The side front pieces have been drawn back into a braid. The cap is perfect. The label inside says human hair, size 13. The pate is a modern replacement. The leather body may be original to the doll, despite no Excelsior stamp. It is not my repair if it is not so I can’t be 100% sure.. It has the usual scuffing. There is some leaking from the left knee, hence the tape. The toes are great. Her buttock cheeks are nice and plump. The body where the stand was holding her is a little compressed. The hands are replaced with composition hands that I suspect were made in the 80’s. They still have the latex smell when sniffed up close. They are riveted on. Rivets are also present at the hips. The left elbow joint has been reinforced with a piece of cotton trim. I unfortunately cannot get the chemise off without tearing it or the arms. It is old but I doubt it is an actual antique. She is wearing an antique half slip and panties. The panties are draw string. The lace at the bottom of the slip is torn on the left side. Her socks are modern nylon. They go up to the hips and help stabilize the knees. The shoes are antique reproduction faux leather with an ankle tie and a ribbon decoration on the toe. The dress is a royal blue silk with a white and black floral pattern. It is not lined, nor are the seams finished but is solid. There is lace trim around the neck line that has also been used to make a decorative floret at the front waist. It closes with snaps. The synthetic mohair wigs cannot be combined with anything other than the other new SM wigs, and the straw flowers that are listed. Many of these have been put together with parts bought separately over years. I describe to the best of my ability. FOR PACKING I USE CLEAN PLASTICS THAT CAN BE RECYCLED, NOT NEW PACKING MATERIALS. THE BOX/PACKING MAY NOT LOOK PRETTY BUT THE CONTENTS WILL BE SECURE. THESE MATERIALS MAY BE PLASTIC MILK CARTONS, NEWSPAPERM EMPTY FOOD PACKAGES, ETC.
