Offered for sale is an antique German bisque doll. The doll is a Belton-type doll made in the Sonnenberg area. The doll is 11 inches tall on an all articulated composition body. The doll is marked only with a size number, ” 4″. The features are nicely painted with slightly parted lips. The mouth is closed. There are two holes on the top of the head for stringing. The doll has stationary blue paper weight eyes. It has an antique light brown mohair wig which shows some mohair loss. It is dressed in olive green silk with a mohair wig and a perky little hat. The doll head has no breaks, cracks, nor chips. When you pull the head up there is a little roughness along the edge of the bottom of the neck. The body has all the original paint and varnish and is marked, made in Germany. The body is very nice but might be a little later that the head.
