Our Pretty Little Girl will make a lovely gift for a special doll collector or as an addition to your antique doll collection! She is just adorable and has the sweetest little face! BACKGROUND & MARKINGS Our petite 8.5 bisque shoulder head doll has a composition or papier mache torso, arms and legs. Her neck is marked Heubach, 250 16/0, Koppelsdorf, Germany. She was made by Ernst Heubach who made dolls around the turn of the 20. Century in Koppelsdorf, Germany. HEAD Her charming bisque face has dark blue sleep eyes, thin eyebrows and delicately painted lashes. There is a pale dot in the corner of each eye. Our pretty girl has pretty pink full lips and blushed cheeks. Has an open mouth with four tiny teeth and a sweet smile enhanced by a cute dimple in her chin. There is also a tiny factory beauty mark by her left eye – a small bump in the bisque (see photo #3). Also, she has an unusual hole on the top of her forehead (see photo #9). Her long curly pale blonde wig is a newer replacement. It has a red ribbon and looks lovely with her sweet face and darling red and white dress! CLOTHING Our lovely young lady is wearing a vintage OOAK handmade dress It is made of a wonderful red and white polka dot fabric and trimmed in red ricrac. It is sewn on. She is wearing vintage bloomers and panties. Her vintage white stockings are also vintage and she has newer red shoes. BODY Her body is either papier mache or composition. We think her arms and legs are composition. Her legs bend at the hip and arms at the shoulder. She can sit up when propped. SIZE This diminutive doll measures 8.5 inches tall. She is just perfect for display in a Cabinet or an oversize Dollhouse. The doll stand is included. CONDITION Our sweet Antique doll is in Very Good Antique Condition. Her head has no hairlines, chips, cracks or crazing. There is a rub on one cheek. Her torso and limbs seem to be in good condition with normal antique wear. Her clothing is sewn on so we cannot see all of her body. Our lovely girls vintage clothing was handmade by an earlier mom.
