In the mid of the 20th century. The company was founded in 1861 by Erhard Junghans. The body of the clock is the original brown wood. Surface is in condition appropriate to its age with signs of usage. The clock has a speaker on the bottom which gives a very nice and warm chiming. The design of the clock is awesome.
