Flawless, Antique Belton Type Doll Head, Solid Dome, Turned Shoulder, Closed Mouth This Rare shoulderhead measures, 4 1/2 tall and and about 4 1/2 inches across at the widest part. She is free of any chips or cracks and has no hairlines, damages or repair. Belton type dolls can come from either Germany or France. This one has no makers mark or mold number. She has nice pale softly molded bisque, a dome shaped head with no holes, gorgeous threaded, French cobalt blue glass paperweight, inset eyes with finely detailed upper & lower eyelashes, blonde multi-stroke brows, closed mouth with dividing line, high color cheek blush, accented nostrils and inner corner of eyes, a dimple in her chin. Clearly produced for the French market, she has four sew holes and V folds at her armpits. She would make a fine doll of about 15″ – 20″ tall. I will be listing several antique bodies, separately.
