I hate the flowery hyperbole that often is in these auctions. Therefore, just a simple description. As usual, please examine pictures closely. 22 Kestner turned shoulder head no hairlines. The body is not stamped and is not original to the head. It has flaws but is in good enough condition to be displayed as is. HEAD: Markings: Made in Germany at the bottom of the back, just under the leather. The functional antique glass brown sleep eyes are not original to the doll. She has an open mouth with 4 upper teeth. Her ears are not pierced. She has a pate and a synthetic mohair blonde wig. The leather body is functional. It has a lot of scuffing on it. The arms are original to the body but there is stuffing missing from the upper portions. The leather tabs to close on the shoulders are just a bit shy of the length they should be. There is a tear in the left elbow that had glue put in it so is still works but is not leaking. Her left knee also has a splint in the seams. I have taped this so it doesn’t leak any further. She has stockings that come all the way up to her hip and helps protect the legs. As part of her costume, she has matching socks on her arm that also function to protect the arms. CLOTHING She is wearing a vintage eyelet half slip and panties. As mentioned, her modern stockings come up to her hip, and the same type of stockings is used on her arms as a sleeve extension. I believe the red cotton velveteen dress was made for a doll that had bisque forearms riveted at the elbow, not glued on as these are. She has a red cotton velvet hat that matches the dress. The dress is trimmed with lace. There are a couple of spots on it. She has leather reproduction cream colored shoes. PLEASE ASK IF YOU WANT MORE PHOTOS OF AN AREA. I will try with my limited photography skills. The synthetic mohair wigs cannot be combined with anything other than the other new SM wigs, and the straw flowers that are listed. Many of these have been put together with parts bought separately over years. I describe to the best of my ability. FOR PACKING I USE CLEAN PLASTICS THAT CAN BE RECYCLED, NOT NEW PACKING MATERIALS. THE BOX/PACKING MAY NOT LOOK PRETTY BUT THE CONTENTS WILL BE SECURE. THESE MATERIALS MAY BE PLASTIC MILK CARTONS, NEWSPAPERM EMPTY FOOD PACKAGES, ETC.
