This cute character baby was made in Germany by Simon Halbig, Kammer & Reinhardt (K & R). Her head is marked 121 and she measures about 20 inches long. Her head has been light tested and showed no issues. She has blue glass sleep eyes, an open mouth with two teeth, full rosy cheeks with dimples, and a dimpled chin. Her composition baby body is in antique condition with crazing as shown and paint retouches. All fingers and toes are intact, and she is well strung. Note- in the photo, on her left back hip, it is a light reflection; her back hip is not scuffed as it may appear. Her clothing is vintage, and consists of a white cotton dress, a white cotton under dress, a modern onesie, oil cloth shoes and socks, and a fragile antique lace bonnet. Adorable 25 Simon & Halbig / C. Bergmann Bisque Child Doll. She is in excellent condition for the age. Her face coloring is beautiful with blue glass sleep eyes, feathered brows, painted lower and upper eyelashes, an open mouth with four square upper teeth. Her bisque head has no hairlines, chips, cracks or repairs. She does have a small stain on her nose. Her composition body has original paint. Her hands have been repainted. This is a wonderful little Googly 323 in great condition. Head is free of damage, eyes open and close freely and face painting is good. Original paper mache body is nice and her stringing is good. She is wearing what I believe to be her original dress. Pantaloons socks and shoes have been added. They are not period but my stock in this wee size is slim. Her adorable mohair wig may be original also, muslin fits her head perfectly. She has no pate, again, no stock in this size. She may have never had one. She is only 11 3/4 tall – nice cabinet size. The doll has blue sleep eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, open mouth with 4 molded square-cut teeth. The head is marked a / made in Germany 152 / 4. The body is red stamped Germany 2/0. Well-strung and ready to dress. No pate or wig. Condition of Head: No cracks, chips or hairline damage to the bisque. There are a few small kiln specks. A few minuscule paint rubs. Tiny fine hairlines where ears attach to the head – a product of manufacturing. The sleep eyes function well – may have been reset at some point. Condition of Body: The doll has her original composition body but the dolls entire right lower leg, part of the left thigh, part of the left lower leg, and part of the right knee ball have been roughly repainted (please see last 3 photos). Fingers and toes intact. Some surface wear, scuff marks and a few light cracks in the composition. The doll measures approximately 11 3/4 tall. Should be 12 tall with wig and pate. I have refined my collection and have loved each and every doll I collected. Have a fabulous 2020. Thanks to all for being here and helping me find new homes for so many of my sweet dolls. Her head is great just her sleep eyes are not attached. When I unpacked her, her eyes were detached from her head. They are sleep eyes and though I know that they can be fixed, I will leave that up to someone else. I simply packed her head with the eyes in place. Her body is in fantastic condition. Love her fingers as they are finely made not the fist type. She has an open mouth with tiny teeth that are gleaming white. She is very tightly strung and can hold a pose with no problem. A couple of small places of paint loss but overall her body and head are in fantastic shape. Please peruse all photos as they are a major part of my description. Note that she still has a partial body label on her back. She comes with an adorable teal colored dress with a matching bonnet that look as though they were made for her, a sweet onesie, a full slip with a bodice, socks and shoes, plus her great faux mohair wig. This is a beautiful doll looking for a new wonderful home:- I will miss her but it is time. Her head will be packed and diapered. She will be wrapped In bubble wrap and will packed plus she will be insured:. The starting price does not reflect what I feel is the value of this doll. It is merely a starting point. You expect me to be honest in my description so I will be honest in the cost of the doll.
