HUGE Vintage Antique Handmade German Sulphide Marble – SEATED DUCK. Measures 2.10 – The surface is 100% original with no polishing or buffing. The figure inside is duck on a small rock or pedestal. This marble has some scattered wear throughout with pocket wear, pinpricks, and a few subsurface and surface moon hints. Still in nice condition and GREAT SIZE too! Pardon the glare. This is on e of those marbles you don’t see very often. I wrote the pamphlet “The Sulphide Marlble – A Handbook” in 1985 and this marble encompasses everything you’d want to see in a Sulphide marble. It’s huge (2 1/8 inches with a caliper), has wrinkles resulting from not being polished and a nice insertion mark showing how the sulphide was inserted. It is a PERFECT example of the Sulphide Marble. If you have a question or need another photo, just ask.

Her eyes are stationary. Right glass eye seems to be repaired. The eyelashes are newer. The bisque is in overall good condition. No cracks or hairlines to the head. There is possible a tiny flake on both eyes. Small flakes to both holes on the ears. No other flaws to the head. The body is worn. It has repairs, replaced parts, repaint and other flaws. Despite the wear the body is strong and has a good stringing. The wig of the doll is antique human hair. The girl is beautifully dressed and is coming with antique velvet bonnet. Please refer to the pictures for more details. No stand to the doll.
