What a sweet face! This hard to find cabinet size has perfect bisque, no hairlines, no repairs etc. Sheis on her wonderful ball jointed body with original shiny patina. Marked with the Kestner stamp. Her lovely long wig is human hair. Sleep eyes work properly and she was recently re-strung. She is marked on the back of her head, see pics. She will come with clothing as shown (no underwear). 23 inch Antique Handwerck marked’109 12 N Germany Handwerck 4 1/2′ with blue sleep eyes. We have named her’Gretl. She is dressed in a white embroidery cotton dropped waist dress edged with cotton lace going down the front. The eyelet shirt is also trimmed with white cotton lace at the bottom trimmed with a wide royal blue ribbon and bow at hips and the long sleeves are tied with small white ribbons. Her auburn wig with bangs and long ringlet curls has a large royal blue silk ribbon bow on the right side of her head. She has white cotton drawers and full slip trimmed with white cotton lace. What a gorgeous face! A pleasure to look at, so no wonder she has always been a favorite of collectors. She has perfect creamy bisque. Her sleep eyes are large and blue. Pretty open mouth with her signature dot in her lower lip. The doll is on her original ball jointed body that is in excellent condition but is missing one finger. She is beautifully dressed in a two piece outfit, a skirt with a drawstring waist and a pretty fitted jacket. On her feet are wonderful pink antique leather heeled shoes. Her wig is amazing! 21 inch Antique KR Simon & Halbig 117 has no damage to the bisque. These darling dolls are known as “Mein Liebling” and this particular example is not only a beauty, she is a lovely petite size, measuring only 21 inches tall. She has blue sleep eyes with the original mohair lashes and medium brown human hair wig. Marked KR Simon & Halbig 117/. She is dress in an antique cream dress with beautiful wide lace going down the front, across the bottom of the dress and sleeves. A tan one inch wide silk ribbon bow accents the neckline and one larger strip with bow trims the lower dress front. The cream China silk bonnet is trimmed with cotton lace, silk ruffle and satin ribbon ties. Her cream full slip is trimmed with small delicate embroidery lace and small pin tucks and her drawers are plain. She has cream antique leather shoes that are cloth bond with ankle button strap closures. The silver buckles are stapled to the shoes with leaf leather decoration under them. This doll measures 30-inches tall. She has no damage except for the TINIEST little eye chip that is on the left eye, and is very hard to see, She has brown glass sleep eyes and mohair lashes. She is marked 192 on the back of the head. She has an appropriate, brown curly wig that matches her eyes. Her white dress with pleated yoke is trimmed in lace and matches her bonnet. Offered for your consideration is this lovely early doll by Simon Halbig mold 750 which is a rare mold. This young lady has a closed mouth with a small space in between the lips. Her sleep eyes are cobalt blue and retain their wax lids. Her bisque is pale and smooth with no hairlines or cracks. Her head has the French slope and she has pierced ears. She has her original mohair wig still attached to cardboard pate. Her early leather body is slender and has some areas (knees) with patches and a small open seam. Her handmade two piece dress is very stylish silk satin trimmed with antique lace. Her straw hat is antique. Her stockings are antique and possibly original and her tiny leather boots are also original. Please note that one of the boots was repaired, probably by a child, and the back seam is open. Still, she displays well and is a delight to look at. If you like the early girls and can overlook their age related imperfections, this one is a gem.
