Bright and beautiful, this darling Kestner bisque child doll is here to stay! This precious German-made girl stands at 14 tall, with a high-quality modeling and painted features, with bright blue glass eyes! She bears a resemblance to the classic kestner 167 model. Shes on a wood & composition body, and is adorned in a cute costume, topped with a blond mohair wig. She does have some damage to the bisque head, and is thus being offered here at an incredible price! Snatch her up now, and make her your own! She has a bisque socket head, with painted and molded features: blue glass eyes (formerly sleep eyes, but are now set), painted upper and lower lashes, feathered brown brows, and an open mouth with four upper teeth. She is on a wood & composition body, fully-jointed, standing at 14 tall. She wears a blond mohair wig in a short, curly style. She wears a white cotton high-quality dress, with eyelet lace trim and raised embroidery detailing. Underneath goes a white cotton full slip, with lace trim, and a pair of cream cotton pantaloons. She wears white socks and white faux leather shoes, while a purple ribbon goes around her waist. MARKS: made in Germany [back of head, incised]. Germany 0 1/2 [back stamp in red] on Body. CONDITION: The right side of the forehead has a hairline, which has been reinforced on the inside with plaster. Two spots along the outer surface of the hairline appear to have spots where the plaster has filled in. The hairline seems to end at the outer corner of the right eye. Other than this, the bisque head is good, with high-quality painting and modeling of features. The glass eyes are original, but are now set. The wood & composition body has a replaced left leg and thigh, with a very close approximate replacement, which has some touchup to the thigh balljoint. Other than this, the body is good, with high quality finish and good stringing. The hands are good. The wig is soft and supple; a high-quality mohair wig. The costume is good. Other than the issues described, the doll bears only minor and otherwise expected age wear. The bisque head is of very fine quality and has beautiful blue sleep eyes. The doll is the perfect cabinet size! We are listing the doll at a very reasonable price because it has an eye chip repair to the upper right eye lid and a very miniscule paint skip on an eyelash on the lower left eye lid. The dolls head has no hairline cracks or other damage. The doll wears an antique mohair wig (cut short) over original Kestner plaster pate. The beautiful sailor outfit is old. The dolls body is signed, has repair to some of the fingers on the dolls left hand and the lower right leg piece has been replaced. Kestner Closed Mouth Pouty Doll featuring a bisque socket head with beautiful blue blown-glass sleep eyes, molded upper eye lids, very finely painted upper and lower eyelashes, dot accent at the inside of the eye lids, multi-stroke feathered eyebrows, extremely high detail to the modelling of the nose and mouth areas, accented nostrils, closed mouth with delicately shaded lips and darker accented line between the lips, modelled chin with dimple, molded ears, antique blonde mohair wig (cut short) over plaster-type pate (both wig and pate are thought to be original), and on a signed Kestner body with a replaced lower leg piece. It is very rare to find this model in this diminutive cabinet size! This beautiful Kestner wears an appealing sailor outfit and hat which is old. I cannot say if it is original or just old. It fits the doll perfectly. The doll wears dark socks and has no shoes. The bisque head features the finest quality of bisque with fine modelling, decoration, and painting. I have lighted the bisque head and there are no hairline cracks; however, there is an eye chip repair to the dolls upper right eye lid. There is also a very, very miniscule paint skip or flake on the fourth lash from the outer lower left eyelid. The body is signed and is in the original finish except some fingers on the dolls left hand have been repaired/repainted and the lower right leg piece has been replaced. 8 (incised on back of head just below the rim). 70685 Germany 0-1/2 (red stamp on back of body). The doll will be professionally packed in a new box (18 x 12 x 12) with reinforcement. A hard doll to find especially in this nice, all original condition! Beautiful creamy bisque with ethnic coloring complexion, no cracks, chips, rubs or repairs. Happy, smiling baby that has dark brown sleep oriental eyes, open mouth with 2 upper teeth. Five piece composition baby body that is strung just right so he is easy to pose. Here is a wonderful, antique bisque shoulderhead, c. 1910, GIBSON GIRL lady doll with original lovely, brown glass, sleep eyes, finely painted upper and lower lashes and exquisitely shaped, closed mouth with upturned chin, perfect blush and coloring, molded hollow at the base of her neck, multi-stroke soft brown eyebrows and long slender nose. She is incised 172. 6/o Made in Germany with antique cloth, lady-like body and bisque lower limbs and is the smallest size we’ve owned. She has wonderful antique bisque, ribbed stockings with blue garters and heeled boots with four straps and tan soles. Her head circumference is 4″ around (rim) and the shoulder plate measures 1 1/4″ across at the base and 1 3/4 across her shoulders. She is in excellent condition with no damages, chips or hairlines, no stains or repairs and no odors as she is from a smoke free home. What an outstanding doll she will make when dressed! What a beautiful and so hard to find Kestner 156 child! She is a huge 30 tall with beautiful brown glass sleep eyes, original wax, finely painted upper and lower lashes and open mouth with teeth. Her nose is pug and her bisque is of the highest quality and delicately colored. She is incised Made in Germany M DEP 11 156. There are no hairlines or repairs or chips to this lovely head and no flaws that I can see. She is on a German fully jointed composition and wood body with it’s original finish. This is an exceptionally lovely body, with no major flaws. Her eyes sleep, but are sticky at times. She has been sitting in my rocking chair and prefers that upright position. This doll has been redressed in a beautiful silk dress made by a local seamstress. It fits her perfectly! She has her original antique silk slip and underwear, which is in delicate condition. The socks and shoes are replacements. She came with this short wig, which I think suits her perky personality. If you would like her to wear longer hair, it could be changed.
