Here’s a pair of beautiful little hand blown glass birds. These little guys were made in Germany. They stand 3 high and are mercury glass, lime green glass and white glass. One birdie has his mouth open. The bird with the closed mouth has a stress crack on his chest. Paper label still on one says’Made in Germany’. These are figurines, not ornaments, just FYI. PAIR of Antique, 7 tall, German HANSI, Haralit Art dolls by Wagner & Zetsche

Featured in our first seven photos only are a pair of adorable. Character children, 7 1/2 tall, dolls created by Wagner & Zetsche. They were introduced as. Art Dolls that corresponded to the Art Doll movement which accompanied the Arts & Crafts Movement and were modeled after Zetsche’s four grandchildren. Harald, Hansi, Inge and Barbele. Haralit (a cellulose-based composition) flange, swivel heads and. Arms and firmly stuffed, pink twill. Cloth bodies and legs. Richard Wagner (business partner) and Richard Zetzsche (artist, designer & sculptor) founded their doll company in January 1875 located in Illmenau, Thuringia, Germany. The dolls were produced and patented in 1916 and. Are marked 2/0 Hansi WZ on the back of their necks as well as being signed on the base of each of their shoes. Their sweet faces have intaglio eyes, open/closed mouths, teeth, dimples, rosy cheeks and deeply molded and hand painted hair, cloth legs are jointed at the hips and move well. The arms are one-piece with nicely detailed fingers. They wear all their original, detailed and embroidered, multi-layered factory clothing including aprons, wonderful bonnets, undies, knit socks and leatherette shoes with trim. They are in excellent condition with no damages or repairs, no stains or odors and from a smoke free home (some paint faded which is normal for these dolls). Other models are not included and listed separately. See page 382, 9th Blue Book and page 79, “A Century of Celluloid Dolls”. Buchholz as well as “Coleman’s Encyclopedia” and “Ralph’s Doll Museum”, portrait line of dolls. HUNDREDS OF AMAZING CHAIRS AND OTHER GREAT ITEMS. For sale here is this great looking pair of East German vintage 1960’s cocktail Lounge Armchairs. This pair of mid century armchairs were made in East Germany sometime in the 1960’s. We bought them in Leipzig last month. This very stylish looking pair of chairs are typical of the style and design from this era of the mid 1960s. They are in great and original condition. There are lots of great design features on these chairs like the shape of the back, the angle of the arm and the back legs and the way they join the back half way up the back of the chair. All of this along with the fantastic original fabric and the warmth of the natural wood all. Combines to make a very pleasing effect which would bring a lot of style to any room in the house. As they are at the moment, they are in original condition they have not been restored in any way. The frames are very strong and sturdy and there is no damage to the main structure of the chairs, no woodworm, no wobbly arms or legs. The wood is in good condition. The fabric is clean and in good condition. Finally I will add that they are comfortable. Depth of seat 50cm. We live in Scarborough but my warehouse is in Cambridge I know, confusing!! HUNDREDS OF AMAZING CHAIRS AND OTHER GREAT ITEMS. For sale here is this great pair of vintage East German 1970s Bartholomew cocktail Armchairs. This fantastic looking pair of mid century chairs were made in East Germany sometime in the 1970s. We bought them in Leipzig last month. This very stylish pair of chairs are typical of the style and design from this post-war East German era of the 1970s. The shape of the back flaring out from the bottom towards the top is the style known as a Bartholomew chair. They are a classic cocktail chair design with arms. I personally think that this model of chair is the most comfortable chair that I sell. The colour of the wood is a nice light colour and matches the legs all of the wood is in good condition. These chairs look to me like they have been reupholstered sometime in the last 15 years. They have used a good quality fabric which suits the chairs very well the material is predominantly light brown, cream and pink. You can see from the depth of the seat that there is a large spring mechanism in the seat. Which makes for a very comfortable chair. They are a fantastic looking pair of mid century chairs. Another nice design details is the Barcelona leg, they are splayed outwards, understated. But a really effective way of lightening the whole chair. This style of chair are very fashionable at the moment. Chairs from this period like these have become something of a style icon. As they are at the moment, they are in very good condition. The frames are very strong and sturdy and there is no damage to the main structure of the chairs, no woodworm, no wobbly arms or legs. All of the wood is in good condition. The fabric is in good clean condition. Finally I will add that they are very comfortable. The seat is sprung but firm and the shape of the back is very supportive.
