The doll is 18 tall and appears never to have been played with. Her pretty socket head has pale bisque and no chips, rubs or cracks. Made by Armand Marseille in Germany in the 1890’s. The doll has her original pate and blonde wig. She has lovely gray-blue sleep eyes with upper and lower painted lashes. Her eyebrows are feathered. She has pale shaded lips and an open mouth with four upper teeth. She has a dimple in her chin. She has an immaculate wood and composition ball-jointed body that does not even have paint wear by the joints. Her body is stamped in red, Germany 1/2. The doll is wearing her original factory dress in off-white batiste with pleats and puff sleeves. I gave her a pair of old bloomers. She also has her original stockings and red leather shoes. Perfect Bisque Head, 23″ Antique Simon Halbig, KR German Doll Blonde Blue eyed Beauty, 23″ antique doll marked on the back of her head S &H (Simon Halbig), KR (Kammer & Reinhardt). She must be an early edition (1886 thru late 1890’s), as there is no mold number. She has gorgeous blue sleep eyes and a wonderfully painted open mouth revealing a row of upper teeth. Painted lashes (some original lashes). No cracks, chips or hairlines in her bisque. There is a “W” inscribed at the top of her forehead. Her Body has had very little repaint but is holding up and is good shape. She is wearing a French Blonde human hair wig and beautiful antique (EUC) full length ivory lacy dress with pleats and light blue ribbons. I left her barefoot because her feet as so perfect.
