This is an antique bisque doll made in Germany in the late 1800s or early 1900s She’s about 24″ tall with a 12″ circumference bisque socket head marked Germany Heinrich Handwerck Simon & Halbig 4, and comes on its original ball jointed composition body, with blue sleep eyes, open mouth with teeth, pierced ears, blonde human hair wig and replaced, antique replica clothing Other than the obvious firing crack along the head rim (see photo #7) there are no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs to head and it has passed the flashlight test Her body shows normal wear and tear and looks like it’s had a repair to two fingers on one hand; stringing is still good in the arms and head but legs are a bit loose The doll has been wonderfully re-dressed in an antique reproduction outfit which has age fading and discoloration/yellowing This is a beautiful doll that displays well (stand included). Bisque Head / Composition Jumeau Lady Body – Marked: “1159 Germany HALBIG S&H 9 1/2″ This is an outstanding 22 Fashion Lady by Simon & Halbig, doll mold #1159-9 1/2. What a stunning girl she is — such grace and elegance! Her face is beautifully painted with feathered brows, painted eyelashes, and sweet lush lips. She has an open mouth with four upper teeth, lovely gray-blue sleep eyes with lashes, pierced ears with earrings, and her nice brown auburn hair is full and swept up in a back roll. She is wearing a stunning lady’s walking suit ensemble in red silk, with silk train, a pleated ecru-and-lace silk blouse with embroidered silk flowers, and top coat with collar addition. The red dress has lots of soutache, decorative buttons, back pleats, and numerous embellishments. To complete her outfit, there is a black velvet-and-straw hat that matches her ensemble and a red-tasseled black purse. She is also wearing two-piece undergarments. See the photo that shows all her clothing laid out. She is on a tagged Jumeau slender full-lady body in great original condition. It has a small indentation on her right breast. Simon Halbig “Santa” Bisque Socket doll head ONLY. Head measures 11 around at forehead. 5 1/4 around neck socket. 4 1/2 high from bottom of neck to top of forehead. She is missing her eyes. Her curly wig is Mohair with pate glued into it. She has pierced ears. She is in lovely condition but for a tiny crack, at back head ledge that continues about 1/4 down back of head. Simon Halbig Twins Antique Bisque Dolls “126-21″. Set of 2 – a boy / blue hem and a girl / pink hem. Beautiful little dolls – and so special to have matching twins in nice condition! Pretty face with nice paint. Open mouth with two teeth. Brown glass eyes do not close. No chips to the heads. Mark on the back of the head reads. Their bodies aren’t bisque or composite, but a lighter ceramic material. They have bent legs and sit nicely. Their fingers and toes are in nice condition overall, with red painted definition. She has damage to one pinkie finger. They are strung and their joints are a bit loose. He has a line on the forehead, just above the eyebrows. I don’t think it is a crack but it is some sort of imperfection. He also has two hairline cracks on one upper arm and the back of one knee. She has a few bubbles in the finish on one leg, damage to one pinkie finger, and hairline cracks on the inside of the joints of her limbs. Vintage clothing is identical for both: Cream colored wool dress with either pink or blue embroidered hem. Gauzy white cotton slip on top with lace and white embroidered hem. Cream colored cotton undershirt. Felt nappy secured with a pin. All clothes are discolored and the wool has some moth damage. A few missing stitches, overall the clothes are quite clean with hems in tact. I believe they have human hair wigs, which are fragile with a bit of hair loss. I did not try to clean them – they might benefit from some cleaning. Smoke and odor free. Packed with care and insured. Please see photos for ID and assume vintage condition. This Simon and Halbig Character child, has a mold mark of 939, open mouth and is all original. This early 30 character child mold 939 was made by Simon and Halbig, circa 1887. Beautiful solid dome socket head with absolutely striking deeply modeled facial features. Wonderful almond shaped paperweight eyes decorated with finely painted lashes and eyebrows. Cute open little mouth with protruding upper lip. Original brown mohair wig. Sonneberg body made of wood and composition. This rare mold number 719 Simon & Halbig girl has the sweetest face! Standing 21 tall, she has chocolate brown sleep eyes surrounded by masterfully painted upper and lower lashes. Her lids have nearly all of their wax. Her cupids bow shaped open mouth exposes five enamel upper teeth. Her ears are pierced and she has no hairlines. There is a slight flake to one earring hole. There is a mold line behind the same ear done in the kiln, this is not a hairline. Her French body has areas of repaint and she holds a pose nicely. She wears gorgeous antique pantaloons with delicate lace trim. A full antique slip with more delicate lace trims and a stunning cream colored antique silk dress. Her pink cotton socks and black oilcloth shoes are also antique. Her wire framed pink hat is hand sewn and adorned with vintage millinery flowers, netting and plumes. Her brown human hair wig has a cardboard pate and adorable Buster Brown bangs. There is a delicate raspberry pink silk sash around her waist. This pretty girl needs no primping to fit right into your collection. She is ready to show off, right our of the box. She has a bisque head and older style composition body with balls in the shoulders, and with widely separated fingers. 1079 14 1/2 / DEP / Germany This is a large and beautiful 1079 by Simon & Halbig. She has a peaceful expression, with magnificent gray-blue eyes. She is wearing her original auburn-brown human hair wig, which is long and braided on top of her head. Her lace hairpiece/hat is becoming, with a an unusual coral-color silk bow that accents her beautiful antique white dress with lace and silk flower accents. Her pierced ears have stone-and-pearl earrings that match her lovely antique outfit. She would be an excellent addition to any collection. NOTE: Photo props not included: DOLL STAND. Beautiful antique condition — from a non-smoking environment. No issues found with the bisque after careful examination other than some wig pulls. Average age on composition. At least one small stain noticed on the antique dress near the collar.
