A wonderful German Antique pin of a fishing village, with an amber stone. Stamped DRGM 835 and with a maker’s mark of oKo with a half arc connecting the bottoms of the o’s. Gorgeous honey butterscotch polished Amber. Please check the pictures for details, measurements and condition. The acronym DRGM means Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster [and/or Deutsches Reich Gebrauchsmuster -Third Reich], and stands for the design/function of an item being officially registered inside all of the Germany states and not just a single/local registration. DRGM registration was introduced in 1891 and continued to be utilized up until 1949 [during Allied occupation]. The registration was valid for three years. It was left to the registration owner to include the registration number as the DRGM marking alone was the element with legal character. The actual result of such a registration was called Gebrauchsmusterschutz. DRGM registered products were protected either for their way of intended use or design only without patent protection.
