This is a vintage real leather (cow) briefcase from aprox the late 1940’s / 1950’s. This style has been made since the 1930’s. It had this same textured leather to look like an exotic reptile, alligator / crocodile skin but is made of all steer hide except the inside dividers are cardboard. The color is red with black paint or dye. It has an accordion shape so it can hold a lot of items. What dates this bag are the 2 deco style German metal closures/locks & the older metal zipper. Marked DBP, it means “Deutsches Bundespatent”, German federal patent. There are no dates or patents on this case just the locks. I can’t date it exactly because there are no labels of the maker. This originally had shoulder straps so you could wear it like a backpack. It still has the hooks & buckle so you can add new straps easily. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT ALLIGATOR LEATHER AS FAR AS I CAN TELL. IT IS REAL COW LEATHER WITH AN EMBOSSED SCALE DESIGN & PAINTED red & black. CONDITION: Better Than Excellent. No holes or stains. No damage or loose seams. Only normal age & storage wear. LOCKS STILL WORK very well & smoothly but the keys are not included. The metal has some normal dirt & age. There is a bit of all over dust from storage even though I gently polished it up with clean natural leather polish. The only real flaw is to the inside flap (see photo) it had nail polish on the inside flap so I had it removed. It can still be polished & cleaned to improve the left over spot. The leather itself is not damaged. It’s missing the shoulder straps it had originally. LABEL: Metal is marked DBP, it means “Deutsches Bundespatent”, German federal patent. SIZE: 16″ WIDE X 13″ TALL. So please don’t worry. I’m always happy to help. IF I MISSED SOMETHING JUST RETURN IT. I do not work weekends. If you need it by a certain date please let me know. I take photos of all measurements for accuracy. I’m happy to help. Please compare them to your items that fit. TIP: It’s best to lay a clothing item you have now, that fits, down flat & measure across then compare inches to be sure it will fit. You need to be a bit smaller than the fabric to be comfortable. Please note my items have no bad odors but I use a natural potpourri of cedar, lavender etc to repel moths. Sensitive people might be able to smell this. It is NOT perfume. I do not have pet hair anywhere near my items & there’s no smoking here at all. I attach my own stock tags to all of my items that are right in front. Please check to make sure I sent the correct item. Do not remove tags until you make sure everything is okay. Once tags are removed you can not return it no matter what. Excellent condition kept in cabinet. My father brought it from Germany many years ago. I don’t know exact age. Vintage late 1930s / early 1940s German edelweiss and alpine flower dress. MEASUREMENTS (approximate) : Bust – 38″ Waist – 28″ Hips – 42″ Length – 40″ Sleeve (shoulder seam to end of cuff) – 23″ Neck – 14″ Cuff (when snapped) – 7. May be handmade, but it is done very well. The buttons on the end of the sleeve are horn and the buttons on the front are steinnuss. The buttons are just decorative, it actually closes with snaps and a hook and eye at the neck. Side metal zipper marked Ruhr. Overall fairly good condition. There are several pulls and snags in the material. Wear under one arm. The hem is a little crooked – it looks like it was taken up and then taken back down. See photos for condition. While I would never list an item I find to have an offensive odor, I cannot ensure buyers (especially those very sensitive to odors) will feel the same as smell is subjective. I know there should be a simpler way of doing this, but I haven’t figured it out, so this is my best option at the moment. Listing and template services provided by inkFrog.

Very special set of 6 angel musicians, early mid 20th century with original display base and music stand. Hand carved and hand-painted in the Erzgebirge region of Germany by Paul Sternkopf (circa 1940’s). Angels are approximately 2.5 in. Display base is missing one star. Some vintage wear– a bit of paint loss—some crazing–remarkably well-preserved. No breaks or known repairs.

This Old Antique Teddy Bear is a true treasure from the 1940s. Made in Germany this little bear is in good vintage condition and is sure to delight any collector. He is firmly stuffed with wood wool (excelsior) and made of mohair. His nose and mouth stitches are embroidered with black wool yarn and he has glass eyes. His arms legs and head articulate. Over the years he has managed to retain around 90% of his mohair. Pads are covered which is typically of bears from this era because the felt that was used worn more easily. I haven’t repaired them. However if you would like me to restore them I would be happy to do it… I leave the decision up to his new owner. With his sweet expression this delightful ANTIQUE BEAR DISPLAYS WELL WITH OTHER BEARS & WOULD BE A DELIGHTFUL ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION. ++ Please note this bear has not been cleaned or brushed so mohair is matted. I have left him this way as I feel it adds to his charm. Measures approximately 34 cm in height. He has no musty of unpleasant odors and is reasonably clean.
