This is an Adolf Wislizenus 23 Antique German Bisque head doll marked Special Germany. She has beautiful deep brown sleep eyes and lovely auburn hair. No cracks, repairs or damage to head. She has a jointed composition body that is stamped made in Germany. Her body has the original paint and lacquer and all the fingers and toes. She is strung well. Body has normal wear for the age. She is wearing a vintage green dotted swiss dress with pantaloons, socks and shoes. The shoes are old and soles have damage. Please review all photos and ask questions.

Beautiful doll by Adolf Wislizenus doll mark 101 A. & Co for B. Marked on the back of her head – see photo. She is about 26 tall. Bisque socket head, brown glass sleepy eyes, painted lower and new upper lashes, open mouth with teeth. Sleepy eyes mechanism is working. Some rubbed paint areas are present to her face. No visible damage to the bisque head. Wig is new; glue residue is present to the back – see photos. Wig pulls are present. Composition body is original. Has a few rough shabby areas – see photos. Crazing, cracking, scratches are present to her composition body. Her left foot looks like it was restored (looks different from the Right one). Stains and holes might be present to all parts of her outfit – see photos. Flowers on the bonnet are attached with a safety pin and can be easily removed. Stand is not included. Very pretty doll with working sleepy eyes. There is a flake to the hole to both ears and small light paint rub on the right cheek, no other flaws to the bisque. Glue residue to the head, but no damage or repairs. Is wig is partially glued on. The pate is made of some plastic lid. The body is repainted and looks like had some restorations. Good stringing up the doll. The girl is coming with newer clothes, that include pantaloons and pretty dress. No other underwear to the doll. The stockings and shoes are included. This pretty doll is most likely My Sweetheart mold, but it is usually marked like that and this doll has mold number only. The doll has working sleepy eyes. Unfortunately, there is a flake at the bottom of her right eye. Some marks and paint rubs to the head. No other flaws to the bisque. The wig of the doll and the pate are original. The wig is worn, but is still beautiful. The body shows typical wear. Pinky on the right hand is damaged. The doll is wearing petticoat and dress. There are stains to the petticoat and tears to the dress. Additional signs of wear are possible. No other clothes, stockings or shoes to the doll. The hat is included. This is a very beautiful girl!! Her wig is a replacement. The eyes are stationary. There is a tiny chip to her left eye. It is possibly that there is one more chip that even smaller that is almost at the same place. There are 2 lines one on the forehead and one on the nose that are possibly hairlines but they are also can be marks. On the left side of the neck there is an area with some paint imperfection. Same look to the paint in the corner of the left eye. Some glue on the forehead. The wig is glued to the head. This sweet face has a tiny spot of missing paint to the tip of the nose. The body seems to be wooden rather than composition. There are repairs to the neck area and the legs including the feet. Looks like the pinky on the right hand is glued and repaired. Some other repairs are possible. The body body also could be repainted. The stringing is good but the legs are just a little loose. The girl is wearing old clothes that might be even original. She has 3-piece underwear, which includes top, pantaloons and underdress. The clothes including the dress are as lovely as the girl. The socks and the shoes are newer.
