This Adorable antique German character “Bonnie Babe” was made in 1926 by Georgene Averill. Her bisque dome head is in generally excellent condition with lovely coloring and beautiful blue glass sleep eyes. Bonnie Babe has a cloth body with composite type arms and legs. She comes with long christening type gown, bonnet, short sheer dress, onesie and a lovely bib. She does have some missing paint and crazing on her legs as well as crazing on the arms but the composite material is smooth and not damaged underneath paint. Her cloth body has darkened with age as to be expected. She is a limited edition and is incised on back of neck (see Photos). Clothes are Antique/Vintage and in excellent condition for age. Clean with no stains except one brown age mark on front of short sheer dress and a segment of lace on top of bonnet needs a few stitches although unnoticable in photos. Doll with 2 Outfits: Long gown, Short dress, Onesie, Bonnet and Bib. Mohair Dog, Blue blanket & Embroidered quilt as they are photographic props. Marked on back of neck- Copr. Head was produced in Germany by Alt Beck Gottschalk (ABG). Bisque Dome Head with blue sleep eyes, open mouth with tongue and 2 bottom teeth. Hair is molded and painted. Stuffed Cloth body with composition lower limbs. Comes wearing t-shirt with button, slip that is sewn on (reason I didnt completely undress for photos). Original Dress with Tag that says Bonnie Babe Georgene Averill Made by K and K Toy Co. Bloomers socks and crocheted booties with flowers embroidered on. There is a hole on the front of the dress and a small stain on the back. Head is in good condition. Composition limbs have paint loss but no heavy crazing or structural damage.
