Antique German Bing bear. He measures 23 tall. His rust colored mohair is a much harder color to find and referred to as being quite rare. He shows play wear in various areas and has been loved through the years. His long arms, pronounced hump and big nose gives him that great German Bing look. BEAR IS A COMPOSITE OF SAWDUST WITH OFF WHITE SPUN COTTON COVERING. BLACK PAINTED NOSE AND EYES HE MEASURES APPROX. THERE IS A SPRIG OF FEATHER TREE GREENERY ON WIRE LOOP. WOODEN SWING IS PAINTED A METALLIC GOLD. MADE IN GERMANY BUT UNMARKED. PLEASE STUDY THE PICTURES AS A SECTION OF THE BACK OF THE BEAR HAS SOME COTTON COMING OFF (SEEMS ALL THERE AND NEEDS A TOUCH OF GLUE). Wonderful sewing caddy from Black Forest region of Germany. Hand carved wood of a bear with little black eyes. He totes a “ladder” of spools and a pin cushion on his back. In wonderful condition – he would have had a cloth strap but someone replaced it with a rubber band many years ago. The 3 spools of thread are antique too “Diamond Silk Twist”. This was wrapped and stored away in an old trunk for most of it’s life – very, very nice condition. Just found in the estate. I want you to see all sides! Provenance: My items come from locally sourced estate sales from the Washington DC metro area including the suburbs in Maryland and Virginia. Most are from upscale, high-end sales.
