Shoulder plate has some Crack lines, on front and back… Arms are patched up. The body seems to be all taped up… Once the clothes are on it looks good, but body is in rough shape. The tape has made it solid. Right hand has some chipped fingers. Not perfect but displays nicely when dressed.

This is a lovely 19-inch antique German bisque doll, marked ABG 8, crafted by Alt, Beck & Gottschalk in the late 1800s. A fine example of 19th-century dollmaking, she combines original antique components with carefully crafted vintage details. Bisque head with delicately painted features: soft blush, open mouth with teeth, and non-sleep eyes (glass). Synthetic wig, styled long and adorned with a decorative flower. A beautiful large doll. The china head has no damage, only typical paint rubs. The body is possibly original or a vintage replacement and is in overall good condition. The doll is beautifully styled, the clothes appear to be vintage. The doll can be displayed in either a sitting or standing position. Please refer to the pictures for more details.

Inner corner of her right eye has a small fleabite… I use flesh colored eyeshadow to touch up fleabites on my dolls. There is a small stain on the right side of her face… No cracks or other chips on her bisque. Composition body shows little wear, all fingers are accounted for, her left heel has exposed composition… There’s a loose small piece of plaster inside her body, and you can hear it moving around when you handle the doll. Strings are good, she holds poses nicely. Hands are easy to turn. Eyes open and close as they should. I gifted her a Kemper wig, made of 100% Modacrylic fiber. Please note that I left the glue and hair residue on her bisque as I find it easier for the wig to stay in place. The glue is water-soluble and easy to remove if desired. Her dress is made from a lightweight, silky satin-like fabric. Her hat, bloomers and slip are made of the same fabric. She is missing her felt tongue, so I used a piece of red craft paper as a replacement since I don’t have any red felt available. No musty smell or any other odor has been noted. This beautiful petite doll has well-preserved bisque shoulder head that has no damage. There are some paint rubs on her left cheek. No other flaws to the head. The doll seems to be all original, including her body that has no leaking. It is in very good condition. However, there is some damage to the left lower bisque arm and lower right leg. All the damage is shown on the photos. The doll has no pantaloons. She is coming with one-piece underwear and a very sweet vintage dress. Please refer to the pictures for more details.

Beautiful coloring, has a dot on left side of face shoulder plate very important is all repaired might have some paint that’s different from original face a d head has a new body and new legs has old arms but the thumbs are both chipped off. Wonderful unique doll with beautiful face! There is a paint wear to the nose of the doll. It is very odd as we do not see any repaint to the face. Please look at the pictures as they are very detailed. There is a small mold defect to the left side of the head. Tiny flaws to the top of the head. Tiny chip to the front of the shoulder plate. The body is old, possibly a vintage replacement. It shows typical wear. Repair to left arm. The doll is dressed as shown. No stockings or shoes to the doll.

From the Hamel estate comes another wonderful Blonde China Doll. This child is huge at 25″ and the head is 7″ tall and 15 in circumference. There are no chips, cracks or repairs on this child size doll head. I believe she is on her original body but it has been covered. When you feel the hands you can feel that there are stitched fingers underneath the outer covering. When she arrived she was wearing an antique camisole and pantaloons that are shorter like boxers and long wool knit socks. I added an expensive blue theriaults dress because it is adjustable and nothing else fit that huge shoulderplate. Please review all photos and ask questions.
