The little bird is trying hard to sing and is moving some. I think good cleaning will get it working well again. Tge more I wind it up and let it run the more they move. I definitely think this could work normally again.

Antique 1815 Meissen Mark Vintage German Porcelain Figure Cherub Birds Birdcage. This Beautifully Modeled, Antique German Porcelain Figure features a Delightful Child or Cherub with Birds and a Birdcage. It is an Allegorical figure grouping from the Four Elements entitled “Emblematic of Air, Wind”. The Boy has windswept Hair and he is trying to get the Birds into the reticulated Cage. Standing on a Rococo Style, 4-1/2″ by 2-1/2″ Gold Gilt Base, there is a Bellows nearby, A Tree Branch and a wrapped, flowing Scarf. This very intricate Meissen Statue is about 5 high was originally Modeled by Kaendler. It is marked with what we believe is the 1815 Meissen Mark together with the Blue Crossed Swords and the number “662” or “C66″ Hand drawn into the porcelain under the glaze. Overall this Meissen Figurine Group is in Very Good Condition. The Tree branch has missing foliage and the Bird in the Putti’s left hand is missing a Wing. This is for a Vintage Antique German Pre WWII Wooden Candle Holder with Birds. Probably 1920’s-1930’s. Sent from the Russian Zone. Tall when hung (top to bottom). Birds are 2-1/8 in. Long, and 1-1/2 in. Great condition, see also pictures. There are no breaks, chips, or cracks. During the WW2 Nazi German prisoners were housed here in Rochester NY at Cobbs Hill. One of the ladies who had a freezer at the ice drying house befriended one of the prisoners, who was just a young kid. She would write to his parents and tell them he was alright and was getting plenty to eat, etc. This woman wrote several letters and looked out for the POW for almost a year. At the end of the war the mother of this POW sent her this gift in gratitude. It was already old when she sent it. It is probably 1920’s-1930’s vintage wow! This was an important gift!
