Set of 11 antique dolls. Many are marked Japan or Germany as shown in photos. 1 doll is a rubber-like material. She is fully dressed with synthetic “hair”. Open and close but must be manipulated to do so. The other 10 are bisque. All have their arms attached except one boy, whose arms are loose but included in the lot. The dolls have been gently wiped down but still have soiled areas as shown in photos. Please examine photos carefully for measurements and other information.

This endearing antique doll was. Made by Heindrick Handwerck. The bisque head is marked DEP 99, 11 1/2. No chips, cracks, wig pulls, or hairlines. Brown sleep-eyes with mohair? Perfect original wax eyelids. Brown wig (Synthetic, not original). The ball-jointed body is composition and is in excellent original condition with minor signs of wear to hands. Antique cotton batiste, drop-waist Dress with lace inserts and fine lace trim. Dress fastens with buttons. Vintage slip with lace trim – fastens with buttons. Antique pantaloons with fine lace trim – several very small holes. Vintage “Mary Jane” shoes with bows. Some wear to strap button holes – but still functional. From a smoke-free and pet-free home. Antique German bisque head doll, CM Bergmann 1916, with paper mache and wood ball jointed body. Her head is free of damage, chips or cracks. Her eyes have been replaced and are stationary. The body is in good condition, with signs of were. She has all of her fingers intact. Her auburn mohair wig is a replacement. She wears cotton pantalettes, and an antique cotton full slip. Her dress is pretty, and is newer. She is a very pretty doll, and is all ready for display. Please feel free to ask questions.

Slight 1/2 in depression in lower right tummy. (No repaint or touch-up). Handmade elegant satin skirt and lined bodice with lace overlay and trim. Vintage handmade slip with lace trim. Item Overview: Up for sale is a beautiful, late 19th to early 20th-century antique German bisque socket head character doll. Measuring approximately 9.5 inches tall, this cabinet-sized doll makes an exquisite display piece for any antique doll collector. Head Markings & Construction: The back of the porcelain socket head features a crisp, incised factory size classification mark reading 2 / 1. (Size 2 over 1). There are three factory-made ventilation holes present at the top of the crown. The head shows scattered remnants of original amber-colored glue and plaster residue where her wig pate was historically anchored. The bisque has a smooth, creamy complexion with beautifully painted multi-stroke eyebrows, upper/lower delicate eyelashes, and rosy cheeks. Eyes & Facial Features: This doll features stunning, stationary blue glass inset eyes permanently secured inside the skull via original plaster of Paris mounds. Costume & Condition: She comes dressed in a period-style royal blue long-sleeve dress accented with an intricate, wide cream-colored lace overlay collar, matching sleeve cuffs, and bottom trim. Her ensemble is completed with a coordinating bonnet/hat, a light silk-ribbon neck tie, and black painted footwear. Condition Details: Bisque socket head appears free of hairline fractures, cracks, or visible surface restorations (please see photos). Natural, minor vertical factory mold trace visible at the lower neck seam line from the manufacturing process. The dress shows normal vintage aging, minor fabric dust, and light patina to the lace corresponding with its age. Please review all high-resolution images closely as they serve as the definitive description of the item’s condition. There are a couple black spots on the front of the dress. She also has jointed arms and legs.

Brown sleep-eyes with painted lashes. Perfect original wax eyelids. Blonde wig (Synthetic, not original). The ball-jointed body is composition and is stamped Handwerck. Excellent original condition with only very minor wear. Fabulous antique style clothes. Glamourous two piece chocolate brown satin dress with lace trim and ribbon rosettes at hem. Both the skirt and top are lined. The skirt has an inner layer with satin pleats. Skirt and top fasten with snaps. The camisole and half-slip are antique. The button-hole on the half-slip has separated and is pinned together. The more recent pantaloons are in the antique style. New Antique-French-style shoes with ribbon & pearl rosettes.
