WELCOME TO A CENTURY OF DOLLS. This listing is for a lovely 4.5 marked girl with the Heubach sun mark on the bottom of the figure. This Bonnet Baby girl is made of Porcelain wearing a deeply molded blue dress with dark blue bonnet. This German Bisque porcelain figure is a wonderful in such a small shelf size. She is a beauty. This unusual miniature porcelain doll features two connected nude figures molded together, standing side by side. Both dolls wear molded bonnets and have delicately hand-painted facial features with blue eyes, rosy cheeks, and red lips. The dolls are made in the traditional solid glazed white porcelain typical of Frozen Charlotte bathing dolls, which were originally used as bath toys that floated in water, as well as small dolls for dollhouses. Examples of conjoined or twin Frozen Charlotte dolls are quite scarce, particularly in this small size. Approximately 1.75 inches tall. Good antique condition for a small porcelain bathing doll of this age. There is light paint wear, kiln speckling, and minor surface wear consistent with age. The figures remain nicely intact and display beautifully. Please review photos for details. A wonderful and unusual mid-19th century German novelty doll and a desirable addition to any Frozen Charlotte, Victorian doll, or miniature doll collection. 1880 German Bisque 17.5 Hertwig Parian Turn head BONNET HEAD DOLL. This 17.5 inch bisque shoulder head doll was manufactured in Germany by Hertwig & Company circa the late 19th or early 20th century. The 4.5 inch tall head has molded and painted facial features, blonde hair, a blue tie under her chin, and a white molded parian bisque straw bonnet decorated with white molded laces. The cloth body, with china lower arms and jointed at the shoulders, hips, and knees, is older and may be original to the doll, clean, and sturdy has few small repairs. The head is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. This dress is from my private collection… Made with silk and ORIGINAL Antique french lace. The bodice and cuffs of the dress are covered with delicate , rare and extraordinary antique french silk tulle hand embroidered with silk thread. Attached antique cotton underskirt. The dress is completely lined with cotton fabric , decorated with french ribbon bows. Closure at the back with hooks and thread eyes. Length – 12 (30,5 cm) Shoulder to shoulder. 4 (10 cm).
