Lot of 10 Vintage JB &W Bavaria Lusterware German Canister Set Floral Pink Roses. This is a well loved pre-owned vintage set, no cracks or crazing but does have signs of wear and age. The wood door for the salt box is missing a screw on one side and has discoloration in some areas. One large lid and one small lid have a chip in the inner rim which is not visible when seated in the canister. One large lid has a small nick on the back outer rim, please see photos. Some the larger canisters have wear to the gold lettering. X5 Large: Coffee, Sugar, Oatmeal, Barley, (Lettering worn off, it was probably either flour or tea). X4 Small Spice Canisters: Allspice, Ginger, Cloves, Cinnamon. X1 Salt Box with wooden lid.

Vintage Antique German Lustreware Peach With Gold 14 Piece Canister Set Germany

This is a very rare set of Peach and GoldLustreware made in Germany around 1900. It is even more stunning in person. According to an expert, these types of sets, variations were made for about 50 years and used primarily because small packages of dry goods were not available until into the 1900s. It was inconvenient to open a 50lb bag of flour whenever a cup was needed, so small amounts were stored on a kitchen shelf or in a cabinet. Set includes the following: 5 Large cannisters are 8 tall: Tea, Oatmeal, Sugar, Coffee, Rice. 2 Decanters are 9 tall: Oil, Vinegar. 6 Small cannisters are 4 3/4 tall: Nutmeg, Cloves, Allspice, Ginger, Pepper, Cinnamon. Salt is 6 3/4 tall. Set is missing one large container, probably flour. Extra lid (cracked) is included. Vinegar decanter has a small bubble defect that does not penetrate the container. Vintage/ANTIQUE Ceramic GERMAN LUSTREWARE CANISTER Set JB & W 20 Pieces

This gorgeous lusterware canister set is in very nice condition with few flaws. From researching the maker’s mark, it appears as though these are from the early 20th century (1910-30) although not a lot is known about this particular maker. There are 10 canisters and a salt wall mount. The coloring is still quite vibrant and the has retained most of its gold color outline and labeling. Set has 20 pieces including lids (missing one large lid). Tall canisters are approx 9 1/2′ with lid and small canisters are approx 5 with lid. There are two inside lip chips one on the tea canister and one on the pepper as shown in gallery. Several have a rust color stain on the bottom (as shown in gallery) that I have not tried to clean. There appear no other issues (cracks, chips, etc) then what I have mentioned although they are previously used so general wear should be expected. This is a vintage/second hand item and general use and wear should be expected. Here is an antique set you don’t see very often with so many pieces remaining. There are six canisters measuring 3″ high with lid (Flour, Rice, Coffee, Sugar, Oatmeal and Tea), six spices measuring 2-1/8″ high with lid (Cloves, Allspice, Cinnamon, Ginger, Pepper and Nutmeg), Oil and Vinegar, and salt. They are in very good condition except the following four flaws: Flour canister is cracked (not repaired), Sugar canister has a large chip, one spice lid is repaired and salt has a crack on the front which does not go through to the back. Please see photos of each. Everything else is fine. You can’t really see the four flaws if you are just displaying the set. I will leave them in “as found” condition, as found in estate with many nice antiques. These are doll size, not dollhouse size.
