This antique German all bisque doll plus others and a delightful vintage folk art wooden chair lot is a delight for any collector. The set includes three dolls comprised of one adorable 6 all bisque Antique German doll with glass eyes, incised on the back Made in Germany with what is probably her original regional costume (trachten) and two cute dolls both of which are probably Japanese, one from the 1920s to 30s, and the other a Shackman from the 1960s, all with varying hair colors and lengths. The dolls come with a vintage hand made hand painted Wooden Folk Art chair and are perfect for all occasions. The dolls are made with All Bisque porcelain and the 6 all bisque antique German doll with stationary glass eyes also utilizes such materials as porcelain, mohair, glass, bisque, cloth, and straw. The 6 Antique German all bisque and the Shackman all bisque are in their original state and the clothes are removable from the German doll. The Shackman doll has molded clothing. The white bisque doll with movable arms looks as though it is cold painted and may have been repainted on hair and facial features. The German doll has stationary inset glass eyes, hand painted features and moveable arms and legs. Her clothing is probably original except the long multicolored underskirt that is too small at the waist band that I added to her. I had to cut sewing threads and peel a bit of glue that was on her inner clothing to hold it on to her, so you can see the pix of her body. She has no damages that I see aside from typical wear from age and play. Her arms and legs are incised with numbers but I can’t read them. I also couldn’t read any numbers on the doll head or back just the incised Made in Germany. This lot is so much fun and is perfect for those who love antique and vintage dolls and toys! They are is a lovely addition to any collection. And the 2 other bisque dolls are great for when young grandchildren or visitors want to hold and play with dolls as they are not yet irreplaceable antiques!

HUNDREDS OF AMAZING CHAIRS AND OTHER GREAT ITEMS. For sale here is this fantastic vintage East German 1970s Bartholomew cocktail Armchair. This fantastic looking mid century chair was made in East Germany sometime in the 1970s. We bought them in Leipzig last month. This very stylish chair is typical of the style and design from this post-war East German era of the 1970s. The shape of the back flaring out from the bottom towards the top is the style known as a Bartholomew chair. It is a classic cocktail chair design with arms. I personally think that this model of chair is the most comfortable chair that I sell. The colour of the wood is a nice warm colour and matches the legs all of the wood is in good condition. The fabric is all original and a soft Pink velvet type of fabric. The close-up picture of the material is a good representation of the colour. You can see from the depth of the seat that there is a large spring mechanism in the seat. Which makes for a very comfortable chair. They are a fantastic looking pair of mid century chairs. Another nice design details is the Barcelona leg, they are splayed outwards, understated. But a really effective way of lightening the whole chair. This style of chair are very fashionable at the moment. Chairs from this period like these have become something of a style icon. As they are at the moment, they are in fantastic and original condition they have not been restored in any way. The frames are very strong and sturdy and there is no damage to the main structure of the chairs, no woodworm, no wobbly arms or legs. All of the wood is in good condition. The fabric is in ok and clean condition they have been cleaned. There are a couple of tiny patches on the right hand side panel which look like they might have been slightly more intense. It is not come right through to create holes but some of the pile is missing. This has been taken into consideration when pricing. Finally I will add that they are very, very comfortable. The seat is sprung but firm and the shape of the back is very supportive. We live in Scarborough but my warehouse is in Cambridge I know, confusing!!
