Antique Lot German China Head Doll Apple Cheek Miniature Frozen Charlotte 5 Pc. Two dressed dolls have muslin bodies that are stuffed, bisque arms and legs. Smaller of the two is marked Germany on the back shoulder plate. Small China head without body has a unique side eye glance and is unmarked. Small blonde bisque doll with jointed arms has a broken off arm. Mini frozen charlotte is 1.5.

The doll is in good condition for its age and it needs a little cleaning. It is marked with the following on the back of the neck: J. Made in 13 Germany. Head – Solid Dome. Painted blonde hair and it is good shape. No cracks or chips. Eyes – Blue glass sleep eyes that work well. Painted eyebrows and eyelashes. Mouth – Open mouth displaying four teeth. One has a mark on it. Fat cheeks and the make up is in good shape. Body – original and marked on the back “Made in Germany” in red ink. There are some minor cracks in the paint and chips. Hands – The right hand has a chip on one finger and the tip of another broke off. Some minor paint wear on the tips of the fingers. Feet – No broken toes. Joints to include the neck: – They are tight and in good working order. The doll is 17.5 tall. From a smoke free home.

She is marked Special 65 Germany on the back of her neck. She stands approximately 24 1/2. Her Bisque Socket head does not have any chips, cracks or hairlines. It is set in a shallow way onto the opening of the body so you can clearly see her long neck. The stringing on her head is a bit looser than I would like but it can still be posed in multiple ways. She has working blue sleep eyes with real and painted lashes and feathered brows. She has an open mouth with 4 rounded teeth and accented lip paint. There is a spot of missed or rubbed paint on the left side of her neck. I do not see any damage to her body other than typical aging and a repaint to her lower limbs. She comes wearing the clothing shown which includes a lovely eyelet lace / embroidered dress, pantaloons and an undershirt. The underwear has some damage, a hole in the undershirt and some small brown spots on the pantaloons. She also comes with modern shoes and socks. She has an unattached sandy blonde mohair wig and cardboard pate. This sweetheart puts me in mind of a gangly 10 year old girl who still retains her baby face even though her body is changing to be more ladylike, which I think makes her stand out from other dolly face dolls that are chunky all over.
