Beautifully preserved marine chronometer with 32 hour reserve indicator, nickel-steel balance, Swan neck fine regulation device, cal. 0.900 silver open face “Lucia” case, the case is signed and numbered inside the back lid, the outer lid is Sterling-silver, the inner made of nickel, the case is in very nice condition. Case No 208 123. Silver plated original dial with up and down indicator, original blued steel spade hands. Hands and dial is in mint condition, undamaged. Large 22 Anchor Chronometer movement crafted in fine quality, 3/4 plate movement, frosted and signed, anchor escapement, swan neck fine adjustment device, Bimetallic gold screw balance, Signed A. Lange & Söhne Glashutte in Saxen, No 208 123. The very clean movement is running accurate and is in mint condition. Diameter 59mm, weight 162g. The watch is in mint condition, 100% genuine, accompanied by the certificate of the Watch museum in Glashütte , Stating the authenticity of the watch. Decksuhr, UP & Down, 12-Stunden-Zifferblatt. Good detent chronometer in hunter 14k gold case. Seems to be Swiss made for German market, or probably made by German masters based on Swiss ebauche. The movement equipped with pivoted detent escapement. It features wolf-tooth winding wheels, nice chaton and golden counterpivot. Movement is nicely finished. Dust cover is signed by German and Swiss watchmaker names.. Dust cover bears gift inscription for Christmas of 1904. Total weight is 91 grams. Diameter is 50 mm, height without bow is 62 mm. Condition Watch appears to be in good condition. Movement is running as it should. Case is in ok condition, with minor wear. It’s hallmarked for 14k gold, dust cover is also gold and is hallmarked. Dial seems to be free from defects. Mineral crystals, original hands. I can accept payments in euros within EU. 925 silver 1944 issued German Military Deck Chronometer officers watch 60mm with caliber 162. The movement is of course exceptional and a work of art on its own as is the absolutely gorgeous silvered deck chronometer dial with blued hands. But the truly noteworthy thing about this watch is the German Marine insignia of the Third Reich. It makes the watch a real piece of history. Many/most of these rare military assigned watches had their logos polished away; it makes sense as it has come to stand for the evils of the Nazi regime. This particular watch however looks much the way it did at the time it was assigned. Much more than a paper weight this is a real item of horological interest: I can say from first hand experience that this watch has an effect when you pull it out and show it to somebody. I feel it goes without saying this watch is something special… But I’ll say it anyways. Diameter: 60 mm w/out crown, mm w/crown, mm lug to lug. Lug Width: mm at the lugs tapering to mm (will take a mm). Case: 925 silver correctly hallmarked and numbered case in excellent original condition. Dial: SILVERED with blued hands and black arabic numerals, up down indicator at 12 o’clock, large subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock. Condition: 90% (9.0 of 10): incredible condition factoring for age, military issuance and the logo it is engraved with… The fact it exists in such clean condition is really quite amazing, working well.
