An unusual and unique Vintage Great Horned Owl Bisque Clip On Xmas Tree Ornament. Owl is very well done, hand painted and is possibly German or Japan. I would date him to approximately the 30s-40s. He could possibly be earlier because he’s so well made. From the molding of his feathers, the well done hand painting, his eyes, and the shape of his body: His look is EXCEPTIONAL. Note: Clip is nice and tight/strong: he clips onto things well. He would even look great for Halloween sitting in a’Spooky Tree’ for An Early Halloween Display. I’ve never seen another: especially a Great Horned Owl Version, along with his’extended 3 dimensional’ cross over wings’ as shown in the photos. CONDITION: In Excellent Used Vintage Condition. He has NO cracks, NO repairs. Refer to all photos, ask questions first. As noted clip works well and is a tight secure clip: it even clips onto a wood ruler as shown in the photos. Also clip has what appears to be all over rusting due to age as it possibly was used on a real Xmas Tree over the years. It does not affect the use of the clip. This is a Nice, Unique, and uncommon example.
