Large old cello measuring approx 51.5″ tall including the white rubber endpin stop, or about 48.5″ tall without it. It measures 17″ wide and the body depth is approx 6″ deep, 8.25″ deep including the tailpiece, or 9.5″ deep including the bridge. Copy of the Famous Antonius Stradivarius. Body length is 30 making it a 4/4 Size. This cello has wear typical of age and use. A small wood piece slightly protruding at the bottom edge (see close-up photo). The piece is original to it as it has the same exact finish as the rest of the Cello. Cracks on the upper bout of the body where the neck connects. A small chip on the C-bout part of the body edge. Few blemishes/scratches from where the bridge stands on the Cello. Light surface scratches and normal wear throughout. One of the Strings is pretty much a bare wire as the threading has worn off. Comes with a neat canvas cover, but it’s old and a bit fragile. It has a few minor tears that could be sewn back together. Please see the side-view photo-you can get a good idea of how the cover fits, even though the cello is shrink-wrapped for protection, which adds a little extra bulk. I’ve tried to show everything clearly in the photos & highlighting issues that I noticed by circling them in blue. Please zoom in closely on the photos as they are considered part of the description.

This beautiful antique violin is a Stradivarius model copy, likely crafted in the late 1800s to early 1900s in the Markneukirchen (Germany) or Schönbach (Czech Republic) region – both known for producing quality workshop violins with excellent craftsmanship. Features. Traditional Antonius Stradiuarius Cremonensis label (dated 1742, common for model copies). Solid spruce top and flamed maple back/sides. Inlaid purfling (not painted). Decorative floral tailpiece. Warm, resonant tone – soundpost intact and well-fitted. Original antique varnish with natural patina Condition: The violin is in very good playable condition for its age. No major cracks or structural repairs. Some cosmetic varnish wear consistent with age. The included bow is missing all of its hair and will require rehairing to be playable. Included. Antique full-sized German violin circa 1920s, Guarnerius copy. Length of back = 14 inches. Neat workmanship, with a one-piece back and amber-brown varnish with antiquing effects. The violin is in good vintage condition. There is a repaired crack on the table to the right of the tailpiece extending up from the saddle (see photos 3 and 4), and a pair of chips to the left side of the ebony fingerboard (see photo 12); there are no other cracks or repairs. As with all old violins, there are a few tiny nicks and dings (see the photos). The violin was professionally set up and is ready to play, with new ebony tailpiece and ebony chinrest, Wittner fine tuner, Aubert bridge, and D’Addario Helicore strings. Plays nicely and has good volume. There is no case, but the violin will be carefully and professionally packaged. I do my best to describe items accurately and honestly. Antique German violin circa 1910. Two labels inside stating it is an Amati copy and the name of the importers in New York (see photos). It was originally made for the U. Navy Band, as it is branded U. On the back below the button. Length of back = 14 inches. Set up with German Wittner tailpiece and Helicore strings. A new set of ebony pegs had been professionally fitted. The bridge was well carved and thinned, stamped by the late James Fegley, a luthier from Reading, PA. I have been playing traditional fiddle music on this violin. The action is low and easy to play. You might wish to adjust the violin according to your own personal playing preferences. There are a couple of old repairs on the violin: a 3 repaired crack extending up from the chin rest clamp on the back of the violin (see photo 3), and repairs to the scroll (see photos 8-10), all of which appear solid and strong. There are the usual nicks and dings, and some wear to the varnish on the scroll (see photos). There is no case, but the violin will be carefully and professionally packaged. Antique German violin circa 1900. Labeled inside Copy of Nicolaus Amati fecit E. Schmidt’s Standard logo with eagle holding violin on the left of label. Length of back = 14 inches. Typical of Schmidt workshop violins, this Amati copy displays fine workmanship and nice wood selection. The varnish is exceptionally well done and beautifully translucent. Violin is in excellent overall condition. The pegs are well fitted. As with all old violins, there are a couple of imperfections: a 1 1/2 very fine hairline crack under the chinrest area (see photo 10) and what looks like a small imperfection to the top plate at one of the corners, treble side (see photo 11). The strings are Warchal Ametyst. You might wish to adjust the violin according to your personal playing preferences. There is no case, but the violin will be carefully and professionally packaged.
