29 Max Handwerck Antique German Doll in Hand Made Sailor Dress FG-56. This is a large 29 antique German bisque head doll. Head is marked Max Handwerck. Head does have damage. There is a hairline in the shape of an upside V on the left upper side of head. She has a long brown wig. Blue set eyes with lashes. Painted upper and lower lashes and feathered brows. Open mouth with top teeth and a dimpled chin. She is on a sturdy marked Heinrich Handwerck composition jointed body. Body has some wear on one side. All fingers and toes are good. Her outfit is very nice. A blue and white hand made sailor dress with matching coat and hat. We have left the pictures large so you can zoom in to see all the details.

Fabulous early Simon Halbig CM Bergamann early bisque, marked only #3. No chips, cracks or hairlines. Blue threaded sleep eyes function well. Retains eyelid wax and most of lashes. Wig is old mohair in ringlets, matches brows. Nice German original body with some areas of repair/repaint. Holds a pose, display ready, comes with stand. Great antique half slip and pantaloons. Vintage/antique pale yellow dotted Swiss, velvet sash. Vintage buckle front Mary Jane’s. Great early doll in very good condition.

Antique German signed Simon & Halbig / K&R Star doll, 18 tall, with bisque head and composition jointed body. She’s gorgeous, with a brunette human hair wig, original pate, and handmade antique dress; she has vintage underclothes, socks, and leather shoes, and her dress is accented with tiny rhinestones; her fixed glass eyes are a green-ish, and they almost match her dress, which is an odd color to describe–kind of light blue, but slightly pale green-ish and slightly gray also; it is cotton/linen, trimmed with handmade cream-colored lace and features mutton-type sleeves and an Empire-style waist–the skirt portion balloons out nicely. This doll is in overall good, antique condition, with doll and clothing showing expected wear commensurate with the age; her compo body shows peeling/cracked paint (it looks as if it was re-painted at one time, but long ago) but her stringing is okay; her dress shows wear and is a bit small for her but does fasten (I had a bit of a time getting her re-dressed); she has no cracks/breaks to bisque head, her pate and wig are un-attached and the wig was held on by a small piece of tape and may need a bit of re-styling; her eyes and face paint look great–please see all photos. All-in-all, she’s truly a beautiful doll, with a one-of-kind dress, and she displays prettily, with a lovely face. Adorable and unique vintage Antique bisque doll with ball joints. We are not experts on dolls by any means but when we saw this one we had to make an offer. The dress is beautiful but does seem modern the doll however has got some age. Signed B3 on the back of the neck the wig has been glued on. Minor cracking of the top coat shows the wood or paper mache? One finger is sadly missing. The attention to detail on such an old piece is truly something to behold.

ANTIQUE ;ate 19th cen. Doll that we are attributing to LUDWIG GREINER. Please view the photos. Very old and well loved doll approximately 18 Long. In as shown in photos condition. Papier mache/ composition head and face has some wear on nose and cheeks. Body appears to be original, as are arms, hands and legs….. Very nice hands with stitched fingers.
