From the Hamel estate comes this wonderful example of a blonde child by Alt Beck Gottschalck ABG from 1880 with exposed ears. There are no chips or cracks to her lovely head. She is on an antique cloth body with kid arms with individual fingers. There is age related damage to the fingers and hands. She is wearing antique bloomers, petticoat and chemise. She also has her original silk socks that are melting. Not sure if they could tenderly mended but they need to stay with her. She wears an appropriate style vintage red dress with antique lace and silk ribbons. I say vintage not antique dress because it is machine stitched with snaps to close in back. Inner corner of her right eye has a small fleabite… I use flesh colored eyeshadow to touch up fleabites on my dolls. There is a small stain on the right side of her face… No cracks or other chips on her bisque. Composition body shows little wear, all fingers are accounted for, her left heel has exposed composition… There’s a loose small piece of plaster inside her body, and you can hear it moving around when you handle the doll. Strings are good, she holds poses nicely. Hands are easy to turn. Eyes open and close as they should. I gifted her a Kemper wig, made of 100% Modacrylic fiber. Please note that I left the glue and hair residue on her bisque as I find it easier for the wig to stay in place. The glue is water-soluble and easy to remove if desired. Her dress is made from a lightweight, silky satin-like fabric. Her hat, bloomers and slip are made of the same fabric. She is missing her felt tongue, so I used a piece of red craft paper as a replacement since I don’t have any red felt available. No musty smell or any other odor has been noted. This very pretty, well-made doll is signed and dated 1963. The doll is in great condition with no damage or flaws other than stains on the back of the skirt and light stains to the bonnet. She is beautifully styled and well-preserved. The doll has no pantaloons and is dressed as shown. Please refer to the pictures for more details.

From a Cape Cod estate in Cummaquid Massachusetts comes this adorable 25 Kestner head that was made for catterfelder puppenfabrik. She has blue sleep eyes and pierced ears. She has her original pate and human hair wig. There are no cracks, chips or repairs to her bisque head. She is on a composition ball jointed body with extra balls at shoulders. Looks to be original paint and lacquer except the hands because I don’t see the red lines. There is a chip on inside of pinky finger left hand and index finger right hand. She is wearing possibly original dress slip bloomers and shoes. She couldn’t be any cuter. Please review all photos and ask questions.

Another beautiful doll from the Hamel estate. This is a 23 Kammer and Reinhardt girl mold 191 with blue sleep eyes and pierced ears. This mold has such full pouty cheeks. There are no chips cracks or repairs to her bisque head. She is wearing a vintage human hair wig that really suits her. She has her original jointed body with all her fingers and toes. Someone started painting the upper arms and stopped. All I can say is Thank goodness. Why paint a very nice all original body…. She is wearing a pair of antique bloomers and a vintage silk Gabriella french style dress made in europe along with vintage socks and shoes. A very lovely lady indeed. Unfortunately, the shoulder plate of the doll is damaged, however the head is in good condition. Cloth body is vintage. There are some small mold defects to the lower china arms. Here is a hard to find gorgeous doll. The shoulder plate of this beauty is damaged, however her head is nicely preserved. The shoulder plate is restored as shown on the photos. The head has a few small imperfections that are all shown on the photos as well. These include small flakes on the bow. It can be the chipped paint only. Please refer to the pictures for more details about the condition of the doll. The body of the doll does not look original, but possibly it is still antique or vintage. This darling old doll is all original. She has nicely preserved head and body, which is marked on the back. Light wear to the body. The head is in wonderful condition with just paint rubs to her left cheek. China arms have some damage to the fingers. Original china legs are not damaged, but the paint on them is worn. The doll is coming with old clothes, that include 2-piece underwear and dress. Dress has some discoloration, but overall condition of the clothes is good. This gorgeous doll has a mark on the top of the head that looks like “0”. No other marks to the head. If you can identify the doll we would be happy to hear from you. The doll has stationary eyes and slightly open mouth with teeth. Looks like the wig is original. It is synthetic, but possibly a replacement. The bisque is in good condition with small imperfection on the right cheek that does not look like a damage. The wooden/composition body has good stringing. It is in overall good condition with small signs of wear. The body is probably repainted. The dolls comes fully dressed as you see her in the pictures. Overall good condition of her old clothes.
