EXQUISITE ANTIQUE PARIAN DOLL IN PINK DRESS. Circa: 1875 – 1890’s. This doll is from a smoke free home and has no odors. A Stunning Parian doll. Before you read on – take a close look at her face. This Parian is 22 inches tall. For price reference see page # 475 in the book,’Doll Values’ 13th Edition by Linda Edward. She wears: a two piece lace trimmed under skirt; a pink skirt and lace accented top; and a lace overlay. She wears a star earrings with a rhinestone in the middle of the star. Yes, she is a star studded Parian. She has porcelain fore arms and hands and head and shoulder plate. There are no chips or hairlines as examined by a bright light. There has been no repainting as examined by a black light. There are no scratches on her cheeks. Her facial painting is excellent. I love her blue eyes. Now, take a look at her splendid hair do. It is typical of the hairdo’s of the 1875 to 1890’s. This is how you date these dolls. Notice the hair braided on the front top of her hair and the band on the back. She is truly a very high quality, magnificent doll with highly blushed cheeks, blue eyes, and a beautiful coral mouth. There are two light dots that are very tiny on her upper left forehead. There is also a little lightening of the bisque where the dots are. I used a 10 x loupe to see it. Her hair is absolutely fabulous with coiled braids all over and curled pig tails on each side of her head with a pink bow. Her arms and legs are jointed but quite loose. Her head is stationary. They are attached with metal pins. I cannot get her clothes off to see her actual body. Her painted grey and black boots are just fantastic with little black heels. The grey is a little bit uneven in color but the boots do not have any paint loss. Her outfit is so lovely with cotton pantaloons and a cotton slip over them. I do not see any marks on her. She is truly unique and very high in quality. If I have overlooked something, it was not intentional! Set of 7 Exquisite and Rare Antique German Bisque Doll House Dolls. All have their original clothing. They are in very good condition for their age. All are meticuluously dressed with fine details. The fabrics vary as some are dressed in felt, wool, cotton and velvet. Clothing is in good used condition for the age of the fabric. Conditions concerns are noted, but you can see the general condition from the photos. There are no chips or cracks or repairs. Dolls are mostly of the Victorian era and some in early 1900’s. Not played with and only on display in a framed shadow box from a smoke free home. Shadow box not included in the price, but if desired, please contact me. Included (in order of the individual photos) is an aristocratic gentleman, 6 1/4 inches tall, with a fancy cane and fake fur trimmed coat. Also a beautifully refined and very well-dressed lady who is 7 inches tall. I’ve never seen a doll house doll so lovely. Her legs are almost detached from her body which seems to be stuffed with sawdust due to the fragile body fabric (see additional photo). Also a bit of the delicate detailed embroidery on one sleeve has come loose, but only a small portion, The embroidery thread is still intact. Also included is a nurse. She has her original paper Red Cross Label on her collar. Her white apron is soiled by age, but all parts of her costume are intact, including her hat. There are a couple of holes in her striped dress, hard to see due to the dress pattern. Perhaps these are from a moth. There is a chauffeur, 6 1/4 inches tall, complete with brown painted leather gloves and leatherette boot tops. There is a maid, 6 1/4 inches tall. She is the only doll with a mohair wig. Her apron has a bit of deterioration, but truly good for it’s age and not very noticable. There is a butler who is 6 1/4 inches tall. He has arm garters and a nice belt beneath his apron. There is another gentleman who is 7 inches tall, dressed quite nicely and has a mustache. I have more detailed photos available if you are seriously interested that I can share with you. One of my best dressed girls! I simply love this outfit and hate to see the girl leave! Gorgeous face on this old China doll She has one area on the side of head that has lost the black paint on her hair could be very easily touched up she has a gold rimmed headband with a snood No cracks no repairs that I have found. She has those fine brush strokes of her hair along her forehead. As far as I can see… Her body is wonderful.. She has leather arms and hands that have the lace gloves! Her body so wonderful as well She has those fine small feet and thin legs which I think are so desirable. Her exquisite gown is a navy colored velvet with black ribbon Fully lined with the lavender and then theres a separate half skirt in the lavender plus all her antique underwear. Her underwear is all antique-slip pantaloons and camisole.. All with the same trim. She has silk stockings and vintage newish shoes that fit her perfectly. Stunning describes this 14 antique French Fashion beauty. All original, dating to the 1870’s and belonging to Clara Troth Stackhouse Spenser at age 10. So rarely does one have provenance for these beautiful antique dolls. Smooth flawless bisque swivel head on a separate bisque shoulder plate. This French poupee has blue inset paperweight eyes, painted upper and lower lashes, feathered brows. Incised with the number 9 at the base of the head. No noticed markings on the shoulder plate. NO hairlines, damages or repairs to bisque. Original auburn mohair wig with original cork pate. Both in wonderful condition.
