Nowadays this Original Systeme Glashütte mechanism with Original dial and hands manufactured in 1900`s were put into new Stainless Steel gold color wrist Case, that was made on Factory by Professionals specially for this Mechanism. This watch was manufactured by Systeme Glashütte in the period of time when they didn`t sign their movements. This watch was manufactured on the same factory, where such famous brands like Lange&Sohne, LACO, Glashütte Original producing their watches. Hands are turning after pressing and holding the button (that is situated near mark 4) and spinning the crown Anticlockwise. The back and front covers are transparent, covered with mineral glasses (not plastic). This watch is in perfect working condition and can be used in everyday life. Non-Original gift Watch Box is in the set. Looking through the back glass cover, you can see manual wind Original Movement with red Ruby jewel settings. Working very good, very clean. Very cool vintage Glashütte Tutima urofa caliber 59 German pilots Luftwafte flyback chronograph. A stunning example with matching numbers. A new rivet strap has just been fitted, this looks perfect for this watch. Overall brassing just adds to the look of these watches. I bought this without bezel and have fitted a bezel I had in stock which is the correct period Tutima bezel. The hands might be an old relume, it is certainly radium and looks great. Timekeeping has given me no cause for concern, all chrono functions are working faultlessly. Description from the words of the watchmaker. The following details are not original: bezel, glass – mineral, back cover (stainless steel), buttons, crown – all production of the USSR. Completely original (from Tutima, Urofa 59) are: body (nickel plated), thread under the back cover in good condition. The dial is corporate, signed by Glashutte and the letter T. (Tutima) on a white background. Defects of the dial are clearly visible in the photo without glass. One leg of the dial is broken off, the other with soldering marks. Repair parts are all original, cocking of the clockwork spring and translation of the hands are done correctly and in full. All gears – from the winding drum to the anchor fork – are not repaired, with original axles, tribes and trunnions in native white stones (with the exception of a pink stone on the double gear bridge and brass, still German, anchor wheel bushings). All platinum is native, without repair. When cocking the clockwork spring, after touching the anchor fork to the horns, it makes the correct oscillatory movements with a good pull. Details of the chronograph movement are almost completely plundered, the remains are clearly visible in the photo. Very cool vintage Glashütte Tutima urofa caliber 59 German pilots Luftwafte flyback chronograph. Just look at this thing! The dial is absolutely perfect and the movement looks as good as you will ever find. One of my favourite Watches so far this year. A thing of beauty to hold in the hand, I love the way the case has aged and the remnants of red paint left on the pusher and bezel. The case which was originally thinly coated with nickel silver has brassed through to great affect. This one has not been around the trade or messed around with. The right subdial hand was replaced at some point in its life, the Germans strap is a replacement but looks really good and it suits the watch really nicely. The bezel is a little tight but I will not attempt to take it off or clean it. The watch is keeping excellent time and all chronograph functions are working well. Such a nice find this one, as always if you are not over the moon, just send it back to me within 30 days.
