This is a rare, monumental collector’s piece in a highly sought-after elegant egg/pear shape. It looks especially good in Victorian, Gothic, Hollywood Regency, Eclectic or Shabby Chic interiors, where the reflective silver surface adds quiet drama year-round. Condition & Authentication Details: This Kugel displays all the textbook characteristics of true late-Victorian German craftsmanship, easily distinguishing it from modern or vintage Indian reproductions. Cap Placement: The original ornate bronze/brass cap sits perfectly flush and tight against the rounded shoulders of the glass, indicating a true flat-cut antique neck (pike). Glass Structure: Beautiful, authentic tiny air bubbles are visibly trapped between the inner silvering and the outer glass wall-a classic hallmark of the early hot-silvering method used in Lauscha. Shape: egg / pear. Color: Deep reflective silver mercury glass. Measurements Height 19 cm / 7.5 in Width 12 cm / 4.7 in Weight 285 g / 10.05 oz. Costs are calculated according to their weight and size. Carefully packaged with protective materials.

Antique Weinranck & Schmidt Mounted Glass Decanter. A fantastic German silver-mounted glass decanter by Weinranck & Schmidt of Hanau, circa 1890’s. Clear glass decanter with finely wheel-engraved floral, foliage, scrollwork and crosshatch on all 4 panels. 800 silver in pierced repoussé design with hand chasing in Rococo Revival with putti, flowers, latticework, and rocaille ornament. It’s highly detailed piece of artwork and a conversation piece. The bottle is stoppered in matching silver by a young Bacchus raising a drinking vessel. The front cartouche was provided for a monogram but remains unengraved. Marks include Germany, 800, and the Weinranck & Schmidt heart-form W. The silver base casing weighs 131 grams. The decanter measures approximately 13.25″ tall with the stopper inserted, 5″ wide, and 2.25 front to back. The base is about 5″x3″. Fine antique condition overall, with ordinary surface wear, light scratches, and minor residual tarnish consistent with age. The bottle seats securely in the silver mount and can be removed without damaging anything; one seam of the base has a micro-split that is stable and consistent with normal flexing. Chips and losses are present around the bottom edges of the glass, concealed by the silver base when assembled. Please review the detailed photographs. The stopper is in excellent condition and seats naturally in the neck, though it is not an airtight fit. The base sits flat and the decanter is stable without wobble. The piece has been gently washed and the silver lightly polished, with no aggressive restoration. A light coating of conservation wax was applied to the silver after cleaning. The stopper will be wrapped separately with archival tissue and layers of protective cushioning.

Beautiful authentic antique German Kugel ornament made of thick, heavy blown glass. This piece features a soft mint green color with a subtle marbled effect created by natural variations in the interior silvering. The look is especially charming and gives the ornament unique depth and character. Measuring approximately 4 inches in diameter, this is a larger and heavier Kugel, highly desirable among collectors for its size and presence. The ornament is in very good vintage condition. The interior silvering shows light spotting, which creates a gentle marbled appearance typical for authentic Kugels of this age. There is also a small air bubble in the glass, which is not damage but a natural result of the hand-blown glassmaking process. The ornament displays beautifully and has a lovely antique patina.
