Hello and thank you for looking. An amazing piece of history! This gorgeous textile is from my private collection and is the second oldest of these textiles I’ve ever had the privilege of finding. I used to deal in these wonderful textiles, and I have a small collection which I kept this sack is a very heavy twill weave hemp, with gorgeous putty tone. Very heavy weight indeed! This sack is extremely durable and would make amazing upholstery fabric. Ideal for armchair, pillows etc (sack 19). MEASUREMENTS : This sack measures approximately : 60 inches long by 25 inches wide (of course it is twice the length as it has both sides). CONDITION: This sack is in as found, not freshly laundered condition with light storage dust and other signs of time and use. Please use the zoom feature to view condition carefully. Lucky for me she was willing to part with several of these sacks. It has a wonderful No. 7 along with the name Anna. Wilhelmina, Gerhold. In, Wolfershausen, 1889. I just love these pieces of history and they are very hard to find. This sack is laundered and ready for use or display. Measuring 56″ long by 25″ across, this is a sack so if opened up would be 50. Its in great shape, except for a few minor small holes and an old repair on the back side, which I love. With black like Stencil. This is a great price for the Antique Grain Sack.
