This beautiful 16 doll is from my personal collection. This antique German doll was made by Heinrich Handwerck in the early 1900’s. Marked 109 – 7 1/2, H, 1. On back of head. No chips, cracks or hairlines. Brown glass sleep eyes. Original golden reddish brown mohair wig – cap has been reinforced. Antique doll’s barrette on wig. The excellent condition original Handwerck ball-jointed composition body has no repainting and very minimal signs of gentle use. She is dressed in an antique doll’s dress, slip, and pantaloons – all trimmed with lace. White bonnet trimmed with lace (new). Vintage black German-doll-style shoes. The stand is not included. Hard-to-find doll with working sleepy eyes. The bisque is in great condition with no hairlines, cracks, or chips. There is a production kiln crack behind the right ear. The body is well preserved and appears to have possible repaint to the upper part of the torso, with some paint also visible on the neck area. She is beautifully dressed, and the dress is in good condition. The doll comes with a replacement human hair wig and plaster pate. Please refer to the pictures for more details.

29 Max Handwerck Antique German Doll in Hand Made Sailor Dress FG-56. This is a large 29 antique German bisque head doll. Head is marked Max Handwerck. Head does have damage. There is a hairline in the shape of an upside V on the left upper side of head. She has a long brown wig. Blue set eyes with lashes. Painted upper and lower lashes and feathered brows. Open mouth with top teeth and a dimpled chin. She is on a sturdy marked Heinrich Handwerck composition jointed body. Body has some wear on one side. All fingers and toes are good. Her outfit is very nice. A blue and white hand made sailor dress with matching coat and hat. We have left the pictures large so you can zoom in to see all the details.

Beautiful Heinrich Handwerck mold 109-13-3/4 H5 German bisque doll with pierced ears and huge brown almond sleep eyes. There are no cracks, chips, or repairs to the bisque head. She does not have teeth. She has her original antique human hair wig but it definitelyneeds styling. She is on her original jointed composition pull string mama body that was painted. I did not test the mama mechanism and don’t plan to. She has all her fingers and toes but a couple fingers looked reglued or restored which is why they probably painted it. We will never know if the body stamp is under the paint. She is nicely strung and her arms hold a pose. She is wearing pantaloons, chemise and cream lace dress with maroon velvet accents with matching bonnet. Her socks and dhoes are vintage. Please review all photos and ask questions.

From a Syracuse NY estate comes this 25 Heinrich Handwerck mold 109 bisque head doll with blue sleep eyes and pierced ears. There are no cracks or chips to her bisque head. She has a blonde mohair factory wig. Her jointed composition body has original paint and lacquer and red lines between the fingers. She is wearing an antique camisole, chemise and dress. The dress has a yellow orange stain and a few little holes here and there. She has vintage socks and shoes. 1 rosette on the shoes looks larger than the other rosette but shoes are definitely a match. She has a vintage maybe antique basket with flowers tied to her wrist. She is nicely strung. Her head does not flop. Arms can hold a pose. Please review all photos and ask questions. I will stuff the head and carefully wrap and package her. She will be insured.

Beautiful doll by Heinrich Handwerck!! Marked on the back of her head – see photo. She is about 24 tall. Bisque socket head, blue glass sleepy eyes. Chip to her right eye – see photo. Eyes are a little bit loose inside of her head. Painted lower and upper lashes, real upper lashes are mostly gone. Open mouth with teeth. We are not sure if her head was repainted. New wig is small for her; no pate. Has a few rough areas – see photos. Crazing, cracking, scratches are present to her composition body. Her outfit is all new. Dress and underdress are small around the neckline; unable to button. Stand is not included. Additional photos could be provided upon request. This is an antique bisque doll made in Germany in the late 1800s or early 1900s She’s about 24″ tall with a 12″ circumference bisque socket head marked Germany Heinrich Handwerck Simon & Halbig 4, and comes on its original ball jointed composition body, with blue sleep eyes, open mouth with teeth, pierced ears, blonde human hair wig and replaced, antique replica clothing Other than the obvious firing crack along the head rim (see photo #7) there are no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs to head and it has passed the flashlight test Her body shows normal wear and tear and looks like it’s had a repair to two fingers on one hand; stringing is still good in the arms and head but legs are a bit loose The doll has been wonderfully re-dressed in an antique reproduction outfit which has age fading and discoloration/yellowing This is a beautiful doll that displays well (stand included). This 17 inch tall doll has a bisque socket head, free of any chips, cracks, or repairs, with an original finish composition ball jointed body. She wears an all original costume including a red wool dress with lace, ribbon, and button adornment, white cotton lace trimmed underclothing, black socks with old black shoes, and a red/light brown hat. The back of the neck is incised, “109 7 ½//Germany//Handwerck” and the doll retains her original blonde mohair wig. There is no pate; however, with the fabric cap attached to the wig, it appears to not really be needed. Maybe there never was a pate on this young lady. The doll has an open mouth with upper teeth and blue glass sleep eyes. She was manufactured, in Germany around the 1900s, by the Heinrich Handwerck Company. This is an absolutely beautiful doll and a mold most coveted by collectors. Her condition and original costuming add to her appeal.
