This Antique Unterweissbach crinoline lady figure group depicts two ladies reading & holding a bouquet of flowers. The figurine is hand painted in multicolor porcelain (very fine workmanship). The sculpture depicts a Victorian-era home with a book conversing with a friend, making it a unique and eye-catching decor piece for any room. The figurine measures 9″ high, 11″ wide, 6.5 deep.

For your consideration we have for sale this antIque (BELSNICKEL) figure made in Germany circa 1900- 1919. Formed of paper mache and decorated with trimed hood and a mica spotted red jacket and holding. This character represents a Belsnicle, who was actually not Santa Claus. Belsnickel was a popular Christmas character developed around the middle ages in European countries. Germany was known to have both happy and grim gift- bringers, and the Belsnickel was very grim one. He was not only feary but also god children to behave nicely though the year so that they could receive gift. Belsnickel is the first character in the history of Christms characters who clearly distinguished. Between good children and bad children, unlike Santa claus who presented gifts to those who names were on the’Santa list’. This sample is in excellent condition and painted in red with spotted mica, holding a feather spring. Theres is a very small chip on the lower edge. It is time to find new homes and new caretakers for these unusual, hard-to-find, rare, porcelain half dolls. Welcome to my auctions. From Pauline’s collection. Young girl half doll presentation. This is an extremely rare and desirable half doll and a cat-lover’s “must-have” item. This young girl is cradling her small kitty in her arms. The cat and his little mistress both have loving expressions on their faces as the kitty snuggles its head against the little girl’s cheek. What is so appealing about this half doll is that it artistically captures the special bond between animal lovers and their pets. Beautifully designed and executed, the little girl’s hands and arms are molded to surround and support the precious animal she holds. Her blond hair is styled in child-like waves and ringlets tied with purple bows. Her dress has a purple bodice with large white shawl collar and a green insert in the front. This rare, appealing half doll is mounted on a large heavy pincushion that a previous owner covered with a silk overskirt. Huge velvet flowers are appliqued over and around the skirt. Age has taken its toll on the fragile silk fabric, and it is tattered now. The appliqued flowers are in good condition. This original presentation is still intact and a fabulous, very rare find… And, as a cat lover, this has been the absolute favorite of my half doll collection. Maker: Muller & Company, Germany.
