Vintage German Horsehide Leather Luftwaffe Jacket 46R XL LD292. This original and historical 1940’s leather jacket was handmade for German Luftwaffe pilots in WW2 Germany and produced from heavy duty chrome tanned premium quality horsehide leather. I have presented this jacket in excellent restored condition. The nostalgia behind these jackets is what makes them attractive. Born out of a time of necessity, and designed for a specific purpose – to function and protect under adverse and challenging conditions. Since then they have become rare collectables and timeless classics, appealing to the rugged utilitarian image. This coat is ideal for WW2 military museum and/ or collector. Reenactment, television and broadcast industry. The work undertaken on this garment is highly skilled and takes around 36 hrs to complete. We only use the highest quality leather products available to the leather and tanning industry UK. The internal lining has some wear around the lower hem, there is also a patch repair next to the nape of neck and the collar has some light cracking- commensurate of age.
