The doll is in good condition for its age and it needs a little cleaning. It is marked with the following on the back of the neck: J. Made in 13 Germany. Head – Solid Dome. Painted blonde hair and it is good shape. No cracks or chips. Eyes – Blue glass sleep eyes that work well. Painted eyebrows and eyelashes. Mouth – Open mouth displaying four teeth. One has a mark on it. Fat cheeks and the make up is in good shape. Body – original and marked on the back “Made in Germany” in red ink. There are some minor cracks in the paint and chips. Hands – The right hand has a chip on one finger and the tip of another broke off. Some minor paint wear on the tips of the fingers. Feet – No broken toes. Joints to include the neck: – They are tight and in good working order. The doll is 17.5 tall. From a smoke free home.

Delightful character baby for Spring! Ready for Spring-time is our antique German bisque, solid dome, socket head, character baby doll, by J. She measures between 15 and 16 inches long as her knees are in a bent position. She has gorgeous blue glass, sleep eyes, finely painted upper & lower lashes, well defined eye sockets, multi-stroke soft brown brows, chubby cheeks with slight dimples, excellent complexion and cheek blush as well as a lightly outlined open mouth with molded tongue. Not certain if she should have teeth as they are not visible. She has beautifully painted, light brown/blonde hair and is incised on the back of her neck: 16 over J. /Made in 11 Germany. Her original, high quality, five-piece baby body has all the original beautiful finish with no repaint or damages and she wears what appears to be her original, fine antique, pink cotton baby dress with antique lace and pink ribbon trim.
