Condition: Fair – Visible foxing, water staining, and creasing consistent with 19th-century paper; vintage wooden frame with the glass intact. Colors are well preserved and vibrant for its age. Previous owner’s name written in book E. This book was part of a large collection of German Lutheran books from the estate. Who was the founder and pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer a. Redeemer Lutheran Church in Philadelphia from 1928 forward, including through World War II. Moeller graduated from the renowned Lutheran “Concordia Theological Seminary” in 1927, and he had a personal interest in studying the great Lutheran commentaries, sermons, and other works in their original German. He was a known to be a deacon at St. Leonhard, Stuttgart, Germany, in 1701; a preacher in 1714; general superintendent in 1720; and a member of the consistory in 1726. Publisher: Bernhard Michael Müller, Stuttgart, Germany. Size: 16mo – 7″ x 4¼” not counting the cover Numbered Pages: 1468 Binding: Leather (original). Very nicely preserved; f rom a non-smoking environment ; faint old book odor / no mildew odor. Overall bookseller condition: GOOD. I find no marked, missing, or abused text pages. Her outfit is handmade from cotton and velvet and adorned with beautiful crushed trim and black glass beading she wears bloomers and a very full, fluffy slip underneath, with a tulle bustle that can be removed, if desired… She’s just a gorgeous antique doll and has a very serene look about her..
