Isnt this pinafore glorious? This is what she came to us wearing, and we adore it with the blue and white checkered dress. Her head has no damage and no repairs and is marked: KR Simon and Halbig 117. She has a closed mouth, blue glass-set eyes, beautifully painted features, and a freshly styled human hair wig with playful blue velvet ribbon in her hair. Her body is repainted. She has a full set of underclothing. We named her Emma, and think it suits her perfectly. German antique, circa 1912. Fabulous antique 26 Mein LEIBLING German bisque 117 CLOSED mouth KAMMER & REINHARDT doll, made by SIMON & HALBIG. This doll is an all original closed mouth character pouty child doll. Her face, with rosy cheeks and pouty lips is outstanding, with beautiful blue working sleep eyes. Facial composition has NO blemishes. Head has been lighted for hairlines , and NO damage were found. Head is engraved on back K R , Made by SIMON & HALBIG 117and 66 which is size number in MM or 26. Since she is a child doll her ears are not pierced. There is a little glue showing around crown of head but I will clean that off. This is just a wonderful modeling and a fine example of this desirable mold number. Her original toddler body is almost perfect with just a little moisture discoloration on back of leg calves. Very nice human hair wig. She is wearing an amazing outfit designed by Mary Lambeth. T he jacket measures 5.75″ from shoulder seam to shoulder seam, sleeves are 6″ long and outfit measures from top of shoulder to hem of skirt 15+” the green silk shoes are 3.5″ long. This outfit is made from old French faille material (material has ribs in it) in shades of green and tan. It was then trimmed in antique green and beige Irish lace and further enhanced with hand made silk ribbon flowers mixed with antique flowers. A large fabulous ostrich feather graces the French style bonnet along with antique lace on back of bonnet. This outfit comes with underwear, socks and pantaloons and matching green silk shoes. 21 inch Antique KR Simon & Halbig 117 has no damage to the bisque. These darling dolls are known as “Mein Liebling” and this particular example is not only a beauty, she is a lovely petite size, measuring only 21 inches tall. She has blue sleep eyes with the original mohair lashes and medium brown human hair wig. Marked KR Simon & Halbig 117/. She is dress in an antique cream dress with beautiful wide lace going down the front, across the bottom of the dress and sleeves. A tan one inch wide silk ribbon bow accents the neckline and one larger strip with bow trims the lower dress front. The cream China silk bonnet is trimmed with cotton lace, silk ruffle and satin ribbon ties. Her cream full slip is trimmed with small delicate embroidery lace and small pin tucks and her drawers are plain. She has cream antique leather shoes that are cloth bond with ankle button strap closures. The silver buckles are stapled to the shoes with leaf leather decoration under them. KR Kammer & Reinhardt S&H 126 Mein Liebling , toddler baby doll with original, short style, blonde wig and pate (exactly as depicted in the above titled book, “The Little One”). She has gorgeous, sleep brown glass eyes with perfect, thick. Eyelashes, painted eyebrows, rosy pink cheeks, an open mouth with two upper teeth and chubby chin! She is marked on the back of her sockethead : Simon & Halbig/KR/126/Germany and 2/0. And wearing nothing but her sweet smile! Her fantastic chubby, baby-type, toddler body has joints at her shoulders and hips and adorable, “spread finger” (starfish shape) hands. (small chip on one thumb). Original (factory) paint finish. With pale finger and toe nail details. She is in excellent condition with no flaws, no damages or chips, no cracks or hairlines and no repairs or odors as she is from a smoke free home. Bisque socket head, working blue sleep eyes, finely painted curly eye lashes, dark eyeliner encircles the eye cuts, brush stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, CLOSED MOUTH with highlighted line between lips with shaded and outlined lips, original brown wig and pate. She has her original composition and wooden ball-jointed TODDLER body and antique white leather shoes with heels and long white knitted socks. Marks on back of head are KR SIMON HALBIG 117 and 66 on upper neck. This model by KAMMER&REINHARDT was marketed “Mein Susser Liebling” (my sweet darling). This is a very large model of the desirable wistful-faced child with exceptional quality of bisque and painting, fine dewy patina of bisque. ORIGINAL TODDLER body finish, NO REPAINT anywhere. She is cabinet-sized but at 17 inches she has beautiful modeling that can be lost on smaller dolls. Her bisque head has been backlit and has no chips, hairlines, or restoration. She has beautiful brown sleep eyes that retain their original wax. Her lips are beautifully shaped.
