Bright and beautiful, this darling Kestner bisque child doll is here to stay! This precious German-made girl stands at 14 tall, with a high-quality modeling and painted features, with bright blue glass eyes! She bears a resemblance to the classic kestner 167 model. Shes on a wood & composition body, and is adorned in a cute costume, topped with a blond mohair wig. She does have some damage to the bisque head, and is thus being offered here at an incredible price! Snatch her up now, and make her your own! She has a bisque socket head, with painted and molded features: blue glass eyes (formerly sleep eyes, but are now set), painted upper and lower lashes, feathered brown brows, and an open mouth with four upper teeth. She is on a wood & composition body, fully-jointed, standing at 14 tall. She wears a blond mohair wig in a short, curly style. She wears a white cotton high-quality dress, with eyelet lace trim and raised embroidery detailing. Underneath goes a white cotton full slip, with lace trim, and a pair of cream cotton pantaloons. She wears white socks and white faux leather shoes, while a purple ribbon goes around her waist. MARKS: made in Germany [back of head, incised]. Germany 0 1/2 [back stamp in red] on Body. CONDITION: The right side of the forehead has a hairline, which has been reinforced on the inside with plaster. Two spots along the outer surface of the hairline appear to have spots where the plaster has filled in. The hairline seems to end at the outer corner of the right eye. Other than this, the bisque head is good, with high-quality painting and modeling of features. The glass eyes are original, but are now set. The wood & composition body has a replaced left leg and thigh, with a very close approximate replacement, which has some touchup to the thigh balljoint. Other than this, the body is good, with high quality finish and good stringing. The hands are good. The wig is soft and supple; a high-quality mohair wig. The costume is good. Other than the issues described, the doll bears only minor and otherwise expected age wear. Darling 3.5 little all bisque doll. She has a slender body much like a mignonette. She wears a tiny crochet outfit and comes with a fancy artisan-made hat. Shes has a newer mohair wig that suits her well. There is a tiny chip to one of her thighs and there may by a very good repair to her left foot or its possible that the molding is just a bit off there. SPLENDID ANTIQUE GERMAN BISQUE DOLL. BELTON – TYPE (CLOSED MOUTH). This doll is from a smoke free home and has no odors. Oh look at this face. This belton-type antique bisque doll from Germany is 13 1/2 inches tall. For price reference see page # 109 in the book,’Doll Values’ 13th Edition by Linda Edward. This doll has a Bru-look face. This doll is seldom seen. Her bisque head does not have any hairlines – cracks/chips as examined by a bright light. The head does not have any repainting as examined by a black light. There is a repair on the left index finger that is only noticeable with a black light. The little finger on the right hand has been broken off and glued back on. The bottom part of the knee ball joints on the both legs has been glued. The upper legs have a different body finish (stain) then the rest of the body. But they look the right size and fit. I believe that the wig is original or at least very old. Her socks are antique as are her shoes. She wears new lace trimmed underwear. Her dress is antique red velvet with lace trim and rhinestone buckle. She has a matching antique red velvet hat with lace trim bow with ribbon. 11German Antique Parian Shoulderhead Doll 1870s All Original Great Face. She does have a faint hairline on her left shoulder plate, enlarge photo 3, it stops at the mold line. Nice early doll cloth body wooden Arms and Legs cotton and velvet dress is shredding from age as shown. Looks like the head was off at on time and a piece of fabric was added to hold it back on. The stuffing must have settled or it was a home made dress that never or no longer closed in the back. Still a great piece of history and desirable A/O Pariaon example. She’s a dome head.
