He appears to be all original, including the outfit. The doll was not fully undressed, but the shoulder plate feels complete and in good condition. The head has no damage, with only tiny marks to the face. The legs show repairs, with no leaking noted. There are small production defects to the hands, but no damage. DASHING, 5 3/4 tall, early German, antique bisque shoulderhead, finely dressed dollhouse. 1880, with great molded. With matching center-parted, molded light brown hair, very well molded and painted features including lovely blue eyes with molded eyelids, long nose and excellent cheek color. On the back of the shoulder with original fine linen cloth body with high quality, slender bisque limbs and molded and painted, tall black boots with tan soles. This handsome gentleman wears his wonderful original, two-piece, black dress suit with open lapels and coat tails, fancy buttoned vest over original shirt, and black bowtie. He is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks no hairlines or damages or repairs and no stains or odors as he is from a smoke free home. He will make a wonderful addition to an antique dollhouse family as the male figures seem much harder to find as there were probably fewer originally made.
