I think antique candy containers are just the best things, ever. They really are part of the “how do these things survive”. This one is really special, as it’s in near mint condition, with one flaw – a slight stain on the cover under his tail. It’s very faint, and I didn’t see it until I started doing close up photography for him. The container has patina – the aged look things get over time, with some age toning to the cardboard container. The stork and the eggs are just wonderful. Hand painted with no damage, cracks or crazing, and no repaints. It stands about 4 inches tall, and is marked Germany on the bottom. Storks were a very big design element in the 1920’s. 20 Early Alphabet-Series Kestner. ALL ORIGINAL – IN MINTY CONDITION! Antique Doll – Made in Germany c. Bisque Head Marked: J. Made in Germany 13. Kestner Composition Body Stamped: Excelsior D. For the discriminating collector, here is an amazing all-original JDK child doll in absolutely minty condition. This doll looks like she stepped out of a time capsule. She’s an untouched, virtually all original 20 Kestner 129 — early in their Alphabet Series — with unopened pate. As of this writing… As shown in the photo… It has NEVER been opened since the factory. Im not sure whether the socks, shoes, and hat are original. But everything else is factory-original. She has original eye wax and original wig. The wig is in wonderful condition, full and curly. It is attached to the pate with some spots of mild adhesive. And, typical of these early Kestners, she does not have pierced ears. Her white dress had tiny bits of restoration work to keep it in minty condition. She has her 3-piece undergarment set as well. She is a true marvel to have survived in this condition. Look carefully at the pictures; I have never found a nicer Kestner, condition-wise. Im sure you’ll agree! Beautiful antique condition — from a non-smoking environment. No issues found with the bisque after careful examination, other than the (curiously matching) single kiln speck on either cheek, and 2 wig pulls in front. As mentioned, her original white dress has had some gentle restoration work, such as an inner sleeve patch (which can be seen from the front on close examination). It also has some age toning spots and tiny holes in back, as pictured. The undergarment, likewise, has some tiny age holes. As for the Excelsior composition body, it is immaculate, with no cracks, restoration, chips, or crazing… Only wear at the hip joints as shown. I’LL BE GLAD TO ANSWER. NM NEAR MINT ORIGINAL GERMAN VINTAGE BILD LILLI HAUSSER BARBIE 7.5 RED SWIMSUIT. Shes in excellent condition and Id say very close to mint! Her hair is all original as well as all her paint. Shes in her original swimsuit as well. She has a metal rod stuck in her foot. I havent tried to remove it for fear it could crack the foot. She feels delicate and I know she is a strung doll so this is for the gentle collector. She has no issues that Im aware of and is really just lovely. Her lips are perfect and full.
