Vintage Antique Early German Candy Container Nodder Snowman Paper Mache Spring. Nice old German candy container nodder constructed of white and red venetian dew over molded cardboard. Has a spring-mounted head that nods and removable halves lined with floral patterned paper, originally made to hold candies. Authentic German candy container / nodder. Papier-mâché with textured “snowy” finish. Hand-painted details with red nose and snowy black hat. 3.5″ diameter and 7.25″ tall (see photos for scale). Interior lined with blue floral paper. Marked/stamped on inside foot (Germany). Condition: Overall very nice for age with some minor edge wear.

I believe it is a paper mache/ composition type of material. It is an english bobby riding a bull. It is a multiple nodder. The bobbies head moves as well as the tail of the bull and the ears of the bull. I have tried to show this in the video. They are on small strips of metal which makes those areas move/shake. The horns on the bull are metal. It has glass eyes, however one is missing. (Bulls left eye) The head of the bull where it goes into the body is loose and hangs a bit. (shown in photos) There are some areas of chipping/crazing light cracking in the paint as shown in the photos. I believe this is a very old German piece, but don’t see any markings on it. 5-1/2 tall and 5-1/2 long. It is a stunning candy container and have never seen another one! It has been in my collection for over 25 years. I will do my best to answer them.

Fabulous Antique Belsnickle Santa Figure. This 7-1/2 tall handcrafted clay face Santa Wood and. With a red and white felt hooded coat and and a white fur beard. He is likely a German Christmas candy container which. Features a rare and unique design. The body is on a wooden post with a large spring inside below the head. Which makes him wobble or nod. There is a small basket for candy on his back. Stamped on the bottom. “Deutsches Reichs Gebrauchsmuster” which indicates that the product has been registered as a utility model or a design patent within the German Reich. This mark was in use from 1891 to approximately 1945. Would make a wonderful addition to any collection of antique. Holiday and seasonal figurines. Coat has some fading, dust and light dirt from age and storage; there are a few. Nicks on the clay face and the one hand may be missing a segment. Unsure if “tree branch” is original. I want to have satisfied customers and will do what it takes to resolve any issues.

This German antique is from an estate. His head and hands bob. There aren’t any cracks or chips. I cleaned him up some but he needs more TLC. He’s hand painted and has bits of gold on him. He stands 6″ high and 5″ wide. He has a cardboard bottom so it doesn’t scratch your furniture.

Antique German Bisque “Asian Style” Nodder Pair 6 1/2″ Tall and 5-5 1/4″ V. This pair of antique Porcelain German Nodder figurines stand about 6 1/2″ tall and measure 5″ – 5 1/4 across at the widest. 3 of the wooden counter-weights for the hands are missing. The pair are in very good condition. There was a string threaded from the neck through the left hands of each possibly to make head and hand nod together? I placed a wire through both but have not replaced the wood counter weights. One weight remains so you can see how they work. LEASE EXAMINE THE IMAGES and ask me any questions you think necessary. Vintage German Paper Mache Composition Grumpy Easter Bunny Rabbit Stick Leg Bobblehead. Very unique grumpy anthropomorphic bunny bobblehead / nodder – metal spring connects cardboard/ paper mache body to cardboard/paper head. 7 1/2 tall – hand painted – stick legs – lederhosen lead me to believe it is GERMANY but no markings – came from vintage Estate collection he was a vintage wooden wheelbarrow with straw and eggs. He has some minor paint chipping and might have been on base at one time. Antique PAPER MACHE brown Bunny CANDY CONTAINER German nodder ears & Googly Eyes.
