Antique German Bisque Head Doll – Marked “21 Germany” A charming antique German bisque head doll dating to the early 1900s, featuring classic craftsmanship and beautiful display presence. This piece was acquired from a loving doll collector’s estate, where it had been carefully displayed and appreciated for many years. The bisque head is marked “21 Germany” on the back of the neck and shows finely painted facial details, including softly blushed cheeks, defined brows, and an open mouth with visible teeth. The doll has fixed glass eyes (non-sleeping) that give it a lifelike expression. A vintage mohair-style wig remains in place and is styled beneath a delicate floral headpiece. She is dressed in a soft cream-toned outfit that appears to be original to the doll. They are either German-made or French dolls and feature soft blonde wavy hair and come in their original outfits. The clothes are sewn on to the dolls so I can’t see what the markings are. They have moveable arms and legs. One doll has some age-related grime on the bisque arms and legs. This is common on bisque. The other has a mark on the back of a leg (probably a mis-paint). No chips or cracks. All of my items are either antique or vintage and have been used (unless otherwise noted) and may have normal marks from use, i. Scratches, rub marks, etc. They may not look new out of the package. I cannot describe every little thing. I will though, describe large or major imperfections that are not a part of normal use. This is a sweet little all-original 5 bisque head doll that was made by Walther & Sohn and is in her original box. The doll is dressed in her original bathing beauty suit with matching hat. She has lovely red hair. She has a composition body. She is in very good condition with light fading of her bathing suit. Her original box has the “Made in Germany” label at the end. The box top is also present (not pictured) and is in very good condition with one tiny corner edge of the box top gone. She is such a sweetie!

This rare handmade folk art wooden toy coach is intricately carved, paint-decorated, and contains two carved and painted figures: a female passenger inside and the driver upfront directing the horses. The coach and horses are contained in its original slide-top box, reminiscent of an early candle-box that is beautifully paint-decorated in a stylized tulip/floral design with the town name of “Berchtesgaden” painted at one end of the top. This piece was made in the far southeastern corner of Bavaria very near the Austrian border and Salzburg, Austria; the birthplace of Mozart. In the 1700’s, the area was known for the making of toy musical instruments. Dimensions: Carriage and Horses: 8-1/8″ long x 3-3/8″ tall x 2-7/16 deep. Carrying Box: 9-5/8″ long x 4-3/4″ tall x 4-3/16 deep. The coach and horses are intact, with no visible losses, damage or replacements. Some older reglued repairs are likely through age and use. The slide-top box has some losses to the painted decoration particularly on one side and on the top (see photos).

Presenting a wonderful and all original very handsome 6 German antique soldier doll. I believe he is a dollhouse doll and is representing a wounded military soldier, perhaps an officer. Like most of the antique dollhouse dolls of this period, his head and shoulder plate are bisque, his hands and painted black boot feet are bisque also. His body is cloth. He has a military uniform with high black boots and a sword. His arm is in a sling. I think he is rare, as I have never seen another doll like this, nor can I find one in my searching. The sling looks factory made and fitted. Also, his bisque hand is there inside his sling. He has a handsome face with painted and molded features, blue eyes, and a black mustache. His light brown hair is also painted. Please look at the pictures. He is not mint, but he is wonderful with no major defects at all! Please feel free to ask me any questions.
