Fully dressed in silk jacket, dress and accessories. 32 Antique German Kestner Bisque Doll 146 Pale Bisque – Sleep Eyes -Hairlines. Large German Kestner doll – a well-known mold 146. The doll is 32 tall, excellent bisque head with beautiful pale color. She is dressed in lovely silky dress, with lot of laces. She has typical style of Antique Kestner doll, full-cheeked child with a very pleasant face. Her mouth is barely open to show four beautiful upper teeth. Her eyebrows are thickly painted with multi-brushstrokes. She has brown sleep eyes with painted lower lashes and upper mohair lashes. There are stress lines come from one of the holes on the back head, hard to notice. The longest hairline goes toward the neck. Please observe carefully pictures 11 & 12 for the flaw. There are 18 pictures. Back of her bisque head incised. M ½ Germany 16 ½. Nicely blended rose petal blush cheeks, cute doubled chin, nice nose with red accents at her. She has sleep eyes with waxed eyelids. Her face bisque is in excellent condition, without cracks, chips, or hairlines (except for hairlines on the back head mentioned earlier). She has original Kestner plaster pate. Her blonde wig is synthetic and not original to her. She has high quality wood/composition body, stamped Germany 7, in excellent original finish that shows very few and minor typical wears at joints. Hands and feet are in great condition, with red detailing. The body considered in excellent condition for the age. She has old leather shoes and socks. She is a hard to find condition of a large doll that you do not want to miss. She has the most beautiful pale bisque that I have ever known for this mold number. Flawless, Antique Belton Type Doll Head, Solid Dome, Turned Shoulder, Closed Mouth This Rare shoulderhead measures, 4 1/2 tall and and about 4 1/2 inches across at the widest part. She is free of any chips or cracks and has no hairlines, damages or repair. Belton type dolls can come from either Germany or France. This one has no makers mark or mold number. She has nice pale softly molded bisque, a dome shaped head with no holes, gorgeous threaded, French cobalt blue glass paperweight, inset eyes with finely detailed upper & lower eyelashes, blonde multi-stroke brows, closed mouth with dividing line, high color cheek blush, accented nostrils and inner corner of eyes, a dimple in her chin. Clearly produced for the French market, she has four sew holes and V folds at her armpits. She would make a fine doll of about 15″ – 20″ tall. I will be listing several antique bodies, separately.
