Pretty German Bisque doll marked Pansy 3 attributed to George Borgfeldt. She is 24 tall with brown sleep eyes. There are no cracks or chips to the bisque head. She is on a German composition body with original paint and lacquer. All her fingers and toes accounted for and outlined in red. Glaze darkening in a few places around joints. She is nicely strung and holds a pose. She is wearing a vintage wig and reminds me of nell from little house on the Prarie! Her clothes consist of antique dress and chemise that were stitched on and to see her body I unstitched them so they will come pinned in back. She also has draw waist bloomers docks and shoes. Lovely Brunette Antique German PANSY I Doll By George Borgfeldt. She Has A Bisque Head & Composition Body With Her Original Blue Rocker Eyes. She is 24 inches tall. She is mold Pansy I. She has her original German glass blown blue rocker eyes. She has an open mouth with four teeth. She has a vintage brunette wig. She is in very good pre-owned condition. She is over 100 years old. Her bisque head has no damage, no repairs and no chips. Her compo body is also in good condition. (she does have a paint loss or scuff on the back of her left arm) see photos. She has all her fingers and toes. She wears a lovely replaced Victorian styled light pink dress accented with burgundy rosettes, ribbons and white lace with a matching hat. My usual basic description with all the needed details, none of the flowery sales pitch stuff. I have used “German Doll Marks & Identification book by Jurgen & Marianne Cieslik for identification, and Linda Edward’s Book “Doll Values Antique to Modern as price reference (published 2017– the latest price guide available). She has beautiful bisque. She does not have pierced ears. She has an open mouth with 4 teeth. Her blue, finely veined sleep eyes appear original. Her pate is a modern replacement. The wig is light blonde mohair. BODY: The body is tightly strung. The parts are original to each other but it is not original to the head. It can sit or stand. It has the usual scuffing on the original finish. The paint is chipped on the right breast and upper left arm. There aren’t any marks. CLOTHING: She has reproduction faux leather shoes, reproduction nylon socks.. Her panties are modern made but the slip is an antique in very good condition. She is wearing what appears to be a homemade but well done green silk dress with what I think is antique trim. I don’t know the age of the fabric. It closes with 3 buttons in back with machine buttonholes. The bodice is nicely lined. She has a bonnet that is lace and green velvet trimmed with lace and a feather. This was made in the late 80’s. The synthetic mohair wigs cannot be combined with anything other than the other new SM wigs, and the straw flowers that are listed. Many of these have been put together with parts bought separately over years. I describe to the best of my ability. FOR PACKING I USE CLEAN PLASTICS THAT CAN BE RECYCLED, NOT NEW PACKING MATERIALS. THE BOX/PACKING MAY NOT LOOK PRETTY BUT THE CONTENTS WILL BE SECURE. THESE MATERIALS MAY BE PLASTIC MILK CARTONS, NEWSPAPERM EMPTY FOOD PACKAGES, ETC.
